The more you buy the more you save. The more you buy the more you save. The more you buy, the more you save.
It's not accurate
I think that guy skipped very basic high school math.
I can't even believe that he's allowed to share such misinformed and untrue statements to be perfectly honest....
that was the first time i heard a non-woman say that.
#girlmath
@@ask_carbonbut it’s true…..somehow
But the more you save the more you buy, but then the more you buy the more you save, but...
The more you Steve, the more you Thanks!
😅
Your Darmok exchange with Steve had me in stitches. Also, I'm overdue for a Trek rewatch on my Plex you helped motivate me to setup! Hope you had/have a blast in Taiwan sir.
Best ep ever !
Have fun Wendell while I watch all the videos and click all the buttons!
All of the buttons🚩
The lighting in your hotel room is utterly gorgeous.
Thank you, Wendell, for explaining the significance of MI325X with 288G of HBM3E. 1 billion parameters LLM on MI325X! Let’s hope AMD can build enough.
AMD has been feeling a lot less snake-oily than NVidia for years. I'm glad to see that interviews seem to continue that trend,
Thing is that Nvidia delivers, AMD then has to catch-up with some half-baked implementation that doesn't get much buy-in.
Wendell is having too much fun on the tech "new stuff". Got to love it. "The more you buy the more you save.", How about NO!
I bought an ASRock motherboard and it hasn't failed me yet. Good sponsor
Same! Love my x399 TaiChi, it took me 3 years to use every single bit of the pcie connectivity that the TR2950x had to offer. Literally never had an issue with this board, it’s extremely likely my next board is going to be an Asrock
I was going to see the LMG clips, but this was better.
Always is.
flmg
Linus Shill Tips is irrelevant now.
Nice one! Thanks for the information provided to audiences.
Computex big keynotes seem to get more incomprehensible with every passing year. Thankfully we have Wendell to translate for us and cut through the B.S.
Keep it up! Level1techs rules.
Wendell is handsome and intelligent. Keep up the good work sir.
looking forward to more
It looks like you're having fun. Stay safe over there.
I'm excited about the faster DDR5 coming out (desktop/server style).
It was interesting that the demonstration machine was using a AMD APU and liquid cooled, at that!
Quality information 🖖
I will believe the power of AI when I can get an autonomous robot to clean my bathrooms without any intervention on my part…I will wait…
I am so ready for ARM + AI NPU laptops, i just hope linux support can catch up in a reasonable time
Solid analysis! Can’t wait for AMD to go to the next level
Wendell makes it sooooo much fun!!! Thanks Wendell, you sure are swell!😅🤪
Leave it to the second largest company by market cap to come up with a slogan like "the more you buy, the more you save." Can't get any more on-brand than that.
before nvdia gobbled up melanox i was so exited for infinity fabric but now after i saw intel of all ppl show Uetheth i am now super exited for it. Also am5 server and full E-core server what a time to be exited for
2:04 I like the Jonathan Frakes Beyond Belief reference
What other buttons can I click does adding to fav help the channel?
Kinda hilarious the MS thinks anyone will care about if a computer is Copilot certified
Wendell, when the Jensen Meme'd.
If your gold audiophile wires are not AI, are you even listening?
If my wires are AI… who else is listening ?!?!?
Id be interested in a video about camm2 ram and your thoughts on it replacing normal sticks we use in desktop setups
I was looking for 10 gig USB C adapters yesterday to avoid having to bifurcate by 16x slot. keep looking!
12:52 -- Wow! Second mention of Asrock X470 by Wendell in less than 30 days 👍 Superb AM4 motherboards, the X470 D4U and X570 D4U-2L2T have got good second-hand value for a reason.
(See Level1Tech's video, "Trash to Treasure? A 25 gig NAS DIY" VvN9E25SE0I, minute 15.)
Kindest regards, neighbours and friends.
Woot!
Thank you for the coverage Wendell.
The influencers are all busy with Ngreedia worshipping, leaving us with you, the only real reviewer.
Go AMD!!!!!
Wendell, I just want your analysis of the new beast Epyc with 192/384 is one SOC... That is what I'm grasping to hear about
Gigabyte just announced a new TRX50 motherboard. Would love to see that covered by Wendell given the coverage of all other existing TRX50 motherboards on the channel. I wonder if there is anything else to stir up the pot in AMD HEDT land at this years Computex...
@12:45 YES please! I would die happy if SuperMicro came in and made 2U - 4 node Twin out of that. 3 Proxmox nodes with Ceph and 1 TrueNAS Scale node would make the perfect all in one server solution.
"Pun intended" is classic Wendell! 😂
AMD should go with "the more you save, the more you buy"
I cant wait to see the 33% uplift in CUs for the new laptop parts ... Will RDNA3.5 APUs enter 2060 territory, maybe?
Yearly product cadence will be good. Basically nothing happened to gpus since January. It's clearly a slow time for the RUclipsrs cuz there's nothing to talk about january-november! 7600xt and thats it!
is there any good usb-c 10GbE adapter??
Any networking products would be fun
USB-C as in 3.2 USB-C with 10Gbe Ethernet? Are you looking for unobtainium? AFAIK the best non thunderbolt option are those 5Gbe-but-not-quite Aquantia chips. Looking forward for wathever you find about though.
Live Long and Spend 🖖
Are there any news about immersion cooling with all the new servers, gpus, accelerator....?
Sans nvidia, best computex in years. Great coverage!
That GPU looks insane! I wonder how it will be priced compared to NVIDIA equivalents 🤔
👍
I wonder what i need to do in order to save more....
Great explanation on the purpose of NPUs.
I'm interested in CAMM2 and using U.3 SSDs for Desktop. I much rather use them with an adapter than put a giant heat sink on an m.2 SSD.
Since I will never use Win11 the whole copilot AI stuff is irrelevant for me. For the AI I can use on Linux my 4070 runs circles around any NPU.
What will Fedora do?
I ❤ Wendy
50 !!!!
can't wait for cheap arm laptops - I love my windows converted chromebook with Celeron N4500 so I am primed for even lower powered and more efficient PCs
I hate this ai stuff, I would like to see a solution from the community on how to disable it permanently at least from a desktop stand point
Wendell- "there's so much coming"
Me-🥴
w vid
Woooooow 288gb of hbm3 is insane, 6tb per second.wooooooooow
I’ve been drooling over computer parts but once I’m ready to buy them the newer faster version drops at Computex or one of a million other events. The more you buy the more you save hahaha really mmmm hmmmm
I need companies to buy more so I can save more when they dump old kit on the used market! Screw their copilot, I’ll have my own brainpal !
USB-C 10G? ❤ Wendell
Haswell microcode fix when?
AI clearly not a bubble
On the one hand I hope AMD is able to be competitive with Nvidia for enterprise/datacenter, on the other hand the part of me that plays games is crying.
*Me, running models in 2-bit precision*:
Yeah, int8 would be nice lol
When ever a coin toss has more outcome variability (it could land on it's side lol)
A woodchuck could chuck no amount of wood, since a woodchuck can't chuck wood.
More save you will, if more buy you do...
I wouldn't trust Open Compute unless they change their name. "OCP", we all know their goal.
So, 40 to 50 TOPS tops... Got it. LOL
Not at all interested in the AI laptops/PCs...I'm MUCH more interested in building a home server that can run local LLMs.
How does MS benefit by undermining Strix Point & Lunar Lake x86 AI PCs? What am I missing.
They aren't a significant OEM. Last time I looked mainstream Windows PCs had a large cost advantage over Apple.
Perhaps it's another big MS strategic bet, based on their own AI hardware and Azure?
In the past MS didn't bend over backwards to encourage competition, in fact the opposite.
They also apparently played games with Surface & Xbox. Using AMD development platform then at launch event with AMD engineers near the front row announced a production contract with Intel. Xbox was also entertaining bids from Gelsinger while Sony have built on a relationship to have time to deliver custom features.
Wendell's suggestion that MS is beating AMD/Intel down would appear to me to make more sense for Dell than MS.
If MS ignored out of box support for the Phoenix NPU, Hawk Point and the coming Strix Point, rather than OEM wanting to tailor customer experience they're abusing their OS strength.
There again MS appears to be undermining Windows with 11, losing market share just as Xbox seems to be falling apart with gamers.
the more you comment, the more the algorithms
I will buy strix point laptop
Isn't it incredible?
I don't buy, I save infinity...?? at least I save my time to RMA a melt-down power connector of RTX4090....
The more you buy AMD, the more you save. Of course because AMD is cheaper :)
Ugh, what a depressing future we live in.
AMD new mobo's gonna be out way out in september. If I am going to spend big on a new cpu I'd rather get the usb4 mobo iwth new chipset, alas. So, not spending on it then.
I love Wendell
Get married b/c I want more wendalla
Why NPUs tho? AMD CPUs have avx512 thats awesome for A.I. and GPUs in general CRUSH any npu so.... why force that bs?
Laptops. Power. Avx512 is still a power virus. This isn't
Nvidia selling burgers in the hall?
Now you will get your IRS and Debt bills or they will just track you and know where you are to get served a court date. AI is good :D
Nvidia needed a keybump before there's lol was boring
Qualcomm is a known promise much deliver little Company... so not gonna hold my breath about anything from 'em and as I can't come up with anything nice to say about M$ I end here.
Here I am. Shameless algorithmic firing neuron.
Instruction unclear. After clicking all the buttons my ***** is stuck in the fan.
The more you buy the more you waste.... AMD showed their MI300X beating the H100 systems. Sure Blackwell will be faster but its also even more ass rape expensive.... So yeah. AMDs offering, hell intels offerings for AI. We are gonna see a shift soon. Nvidias closed ecosystem is killing them, again, just like all their other closed shit that ruined them.
For the vast majority the real estate of an NPU on a laptop would be much better used for the CPU or Graphics but that wouldn't increase the share price of yet another scam buzzword AI can.
Ditto for RTX. Think about how much raster or Cuda resource could fit in that real estate.
Honestly who gives a fuck what AMD does... Except for gaming amd's gpus ate useless, bunch of profesional programs cant work on them. And for the gaming market taking 100$ off compared to an Nvidia gpus is just insulting, for the amount of features that nvidia has, amds cards should be 50% off compared to nvidia cards...
The more you eat, the more you poop!🤓 Food for thought?🤔 I don't think so!!!
