- Here's a little hot to video on correcting the Audi VLAND style tail lights. By adding a resistor it will prevent your reverse lights and back up camera from cutting out.

Hey there I have an issue with mine. They were working properly but suddenly th brake and running center lights stopped working. Thw reverse lights and others are fine. What could it be? Thanks for the video

Just installed mine. All lights working good, but having issues with back up camera. Turns off after a couple seconds
My lights came with these resistors and still cuts out. Do you think a second set would work? Or could my resistors be bad?
I can't get the running light on the right side to work.. I got a whole new harness because I thought it was the connector and it worked at first and I was happy so I went and put everything together and screwed up.. and when I turned the car on again it wasn't working again... im so annoyed
My cousins Lancer tailights are the same as yours but his whole boot lid has no illumination

I have Vland headlights but, as well, I changed just reverse bulbs with led, but I didn't install resistors on them yet. Is it necessary to add resistors to headlights as well like to reverse led to fix issue with ASC and Service Requirement error?

Is this a know issue with these tail lights? Is it model specific or the tailights themselves? A fuse wouldn't fix it? I was about to order these lights
Some don't have an issue, some do. Mine were bought second hand so it could be due to spliced wiring.
@@TheSnyds thanks. I've heard about this but no real depth on the subject such as if it's only with rear cam models. I would figure a fuse maybe the same fix but I'm not sure the circuit layout for the trunk
Yea not sure. But plenty of ppl have reached out and this seems to always work out. Other than that these have no issues
I bought some smoked ones a few months ago and the secuential from the right one doesn’t work properly, is there any way to fix that issue?

Tbh I’ve heard that vlands are bad but I still went with them smh. I got the demon eyes headlights from them and they work perfect but the taillight honestly feels so crappy 😪
@@lordRealnpc I got the demon eyes too, been with them for around 2 years now. They’ve worked properly so far, although I’ve noticed that water is starting to get into them. As for the taillights, I was in a club and many had them, most of them had some type of problem. They have got to go.
Hi, so I installed the taillight golf version on my Mk6. At first the sequential indicator was working on the left passenger side (EU) but not anymore. I did switch the brown wire to where the white wire is before installing them as someone said it'll give you two reverse lights (which it didn't Fog light instead) so I don't know did that cause the problem. Have you heard of this issue and know how to fix it? Would much appreciate the help thanks!

I have the same issue, my two side taillight doesnt come on until I press the brake only that section..
Just put these in my woman's 14 lancer.. seem to work fine however, cruise control don't work now, keeps throwing the p0703 code, the traction control light comes on..

@@TheSnyds nope.. everything worked great in regards to the lights.. no issues with them.. just the other stuff.. gonna try the resistor route and see if it helps.. there were no issues of any kind with the car until I installed these.. car only has 40k on it..

@@TheSnyds the only thing different i did from what I seen on your install was the wire with the 2 plugs I used to join the inner decklid lights and connected the the outer light with the longer wire with the 3 plugs

Is your 3rd brake light factory, tinted, or aftermarket? It looks darker than factory clear in this video

So I put the resistor on but my reverse tail lights don’t come on
thought the vland tail lights come with a resistor? saw on their webiste it inlcudes resistor.
It has a resistor but I still needed to add another
Will this fix the flickering to shut off issue that I'm having? I have no reverse lights either but everything else works perfectly its just when I turn the head lights on or fully on it sometimes works and other times flickers then goes off but even when it's off I still get brake lights, signals , hazards , etc. I just don't have reverse at all

I have these exact same tail lights installed on my 2011 GTS & every time I turn my lights on the tail lights flicker & don’t turn on properly. Also they stay on a little after the car has been turned off for about 3-5 mins. Is this normal?

Did you guys figure out your issue? I have the same problem with mine. I already have one resistor that came with the set from VLAND. I’m wondering if I need to add another one as well. I emailed VLAND directly but they stopped replying to emails after I wanted to exchange the taillights for a new set.
anyone got fix for this? I my right side runnnings lights do not turn on sometimes and everything else works good and bright. also just today the runnings lights went dim will propobly go normal again hopefully but what could be causing this? anyone

I got the VLand tail lights and I noticed that the very left one is slightly dimmer than the rest. Same for anyone else? It's pretty hard to tell so y'all might've not noticed yet - can really only tell during daylight. Additionally, I installed extra tail lights on rear bumper where the red reflectors are supposed to be, and ran the lines for it connecting to the outer set of tail lights. The left one I just installed also turned out dimmer while the right ones are fine. Not sure if it's a defect or if the left tail light loses brightness due to housing so many connections that feed to the right tail lights also. I should've got the 3-year protection plan, but this might be normal for all VLand tail lights.

I have a problem with mine. My right tail light is not on when its on drive or parked. But when i press the breaks it turns on, like when i reverse. Any clue on what i should do??

Do i need to install load resistor to the led tail lights or led headlights when both are installed?. I have installed vland tail lights and headlights. Both are led. But now the tail lights won't work properly after installing headlights. Need to switch off and start again to them to work. I got a load resistor to the reverse lights.
Headlights shouldnt have an effect on the tails. Do you have your resistor correctly wired?
@@TheSnyds Yes I got the resistor from the vland. And wired according to their instructions. Sometimes it works normal. idk whats wrong.

Has anyone had an issue with these lights where drivers side brake light (outter section of the light) doesn't work? I reseated the cable, no change. It's like the led has died.

Edit: Got them and yeah it works plus easy to install.
Is it your car having a rear camera or not?, Just trying to figure out if this problem is only for the rear cameras equipped lancers.
