- This is a fan-made alternate ending. I won't necessarily call this a "better" ending than the original, but it is definitely a more cliche one. Sometimes, all we want is cliche. I tried to keep it close to the show's character by mixing together humor and drama. Hope you enjoy!
I mean no disrespect to the show's team. I truly believe they did a great job with the show.

First of all, thank you to everyone who have watched (and future thanks to those who will be watching!) my take on the MMH ending. This is my first alternate ending video ever, and hopefully it will be the last - since of course, we would always hope for the shows we watch to end satisfyingly. The makers of the show have earned so much of my love and respect throughout the weeks, so I was hesitant to post a reimagining of the ending. I am sure they thought hard and worked hard on the ending and had good reason to end it the way they did. All in all, they were able to give us a show that will truly remain in many of our hearts.
With that said, I do hope you all enjoy this alternate ending. It is far from perfect, but no ending will ever be. I may not call it "better", but it certainly is more cliche. A few limitations I had making this video: (1) I wanted to use mostly clips and dialogue that are actually used on episode 16. (2) For a more immersive experience, I had to time it the clips to a background music.
For Part 2, I tried to make Young-won independent even if she and Ja-sung were together. With the original ending, I think they had to break them up so that the message wouldn't be something like "in order get your own house, you need to find a rich boyfriend". With the clips available, I tried to have them discuss a little bit about buying/building property. Young-won, knowing that it will be difficult, still decides to tackle it by learning and studying. I do personally believe that a lot of people already have the chance to buy/build, but couldn't, because of how intimidating it is. It's good to handle things on our own, but it's also good to seek assistance, especially from professionals.
The most important part of this video is the lovely BTS. I am really grateful they decided to show this short clip to us. This alternate ending might not have worked without it.
And just like the rap from Part 1, I apologize for forcing them to talk about ramyeon, instead of other countless nice and sweet things they could have talked about. I just really wanted to hint at some sort of intimacy between the two. 😆
You deserve a prize to the most deserving ending 💖👏👏, thank you so much, it makes me feel good and heal my heart from past thursday. The bts really it's much better than the ending, KJS said to JSM that he want to take care her to make her bright more, the most beautiful phases and it's not on the script xD
Yes!!! I'm really grateful for the BTS they included. Maybe the real ending lies there somewhere. 😊

😆I wish it were that easy! One thing I've learned while making this video is that writing is really hard. I had to think twice about the things I decided to include in hopes to satisfy a broad scope while making sure I don't offend anyone. I'm sure they had their reasons for the original ending.
I was feeling pretty depressed after I watch ep 16. (WTF, a second noble idiocy with 15 minutes to go?!) I feel sooo much better after watching your warm ending. Thank you!!
Thanks a lot! Really ending this drama needed. Writers/producers must be ashamed for BS they produced in ep16.
😆 if their intent was to shock us, then they succeeded. Satisfying? Not really. Even if I wanted the ending to go differently (enough to make this video), at this point all I can do is believe they thought hard about the ending and had good reason to end it the way they did.

Thank you for the satisfying ending that I expected. The drama is actually really good and healing except the last episode about the breakup. The lines you created are so good and the editing is so good, you are really talented!!
I agree. I believe they did a really good with show. To ba fair though, most of the lines I used for Part 1 and 2 were, in essence, already part of episode 16. The meaning of it all just got lost somewhere in the last 10 minutes or so in the original. 😑

Thank goodness I have something to erase the trash of episode 16 out of my head. This is a lovely and far more believable ending.
"And they live happily ever after" nice editing. Even if the drama did not show the happy ending, it's now in the viewers imagination on how they will end the story. It's just like applying it to our real life, how should we end our own story?
Yes. I really wish they gave us a glimpse of that happy ending, but they left it for our imagination.

Thanks for both videos. In my mind, this is how the series ended. It would be nice if the writer or director adds them to one of their future Kdrama as a cameo of them together or married.
