Marion, that card turned out beautifully with the embossing powder. I must say that the last stamp in that set is unusual. 😊
Thank you so much! It is 😂😂😂🥰🥰🥰
To condition your stamps for first use just rub your fingers over the stamps to remove the manufacturer residue. It's quick, easy and eliminates possible damage to the stamps. Beautiful cards! You are such a delight to watch and listen to! ❤
Thanks so much 🥰🥰🥰
Gorgeous, Marion! Those colors are so beautiful!
Thank you, my favourite colours 🥰🥰🥰
Great cards Marion both of them are beautiful. For die cutting a stamped image, make yourself a jig. A jig is the part of the paper left after die cutting. You place it over the new stamped image and you can see to line your die up better. Thanks Marion!
Ohhh I’m going to have to look that up, thank you 🤗🤗🤗
I condition new stamps with an eraser. Quick rub over makes all the difference!
Thank you 🤗🤗🤗
There are few videon on 49 and market for that. It's just additional stuff, you don't have specific way to use. But you did you and it came out fantastic 😊
Thank you 🤗🤗🤗
I never have to sand mine I just do a good ink then stamp on a printer paper and good to go after. Pretty as usual❤
Thank you Kerry 🥰🥰🥰
Hi Marion, I got the Sizzix leave stamp you used last time. I really love the stamp/die set. I was using my old stamp platform (don’t have sizzix) and quickly realized I could move alot faster with just eye it. The stamps are clear enough. I noticed there is a stamp side on the stamps, hard to see this. I used Scortched timber/crackle fire and second one vintage brown and broken china. Looks ok I think it well be better once these stamps are broke in. Enjoy your show. DJ from Texas
Thanks so much DJ, it’s such a lovely stamp set 🥰🥰🥰
Gorgeous 🎉
Thank you! 🥰🥰🥰
Great cards and that embossing powder is gorgeous. Hope you had a safe trip home and you didn't melt too much in Vegas. Thanks Marion and have a beautiful weekend xx
Thanks Mandy, the show was great, just getting over jet lag now 🫣🫣🫣🥰🥰🥰
Beautiful card as always Marion you did a great job and I love those pearls and I still have yet to get them but paying for my son‘s wedding has pretty much zapped every last time I have so I’m also paying two credit cards one for his and one for mine so Until I get caught up with that, I have been on a no shopping spree and it’s killing me so that’s one of the things I’d like to get turned out beautiful very nice job!!!👍
Thanks Denise, you must be getting excited for the wedding, you’ve worked hard on it !! 🤗🤗🤗
@@marionemberson getting nervous! Shower is this weekend! You’ll have to see the card I made. I tried to match the invitations and theme which was lemons and blue flowers and I even wrapped all their presents in matching lemon and blue paper! But the card is one of my best yet. I’ll post pics on IG after the shower if you want to see.
@@dizzinese I bet you are, I hope the shower was wonderful, I bet you had a fabulous time 🥰🥰🥰
This is just a thought also, it’s just my guess if you will about the Stamp options that you have I think their options on which of those solid images you use I don’t think that you necessarily have to use every single one on top of each other because it looks like from what I could tell, which is hard on my cell phone that the bottom last stamps look like they might be kind of an outside the line, kind of splatter watercolor, just kind of a splash of color so that may not be meant to be used over all the other ones it may be to use instead of so that’s how I’ve taken stamps that are like that in stamps that I have that it’s a choice as to which salad you want to use that they don’t all have to go on the same outline Stampbut just how I interpreted it
I think you’re right, you’ve just made me wonder if I could use that last one as the first one and build from there 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤗🤗🤗
@@marionemberson so sorry for the misspelling. It’s the auto correct and I don’t catch it until I read it again after you reply. I hope my suggestions are not taken as pushy or know it all. I certainly don’t. I’m just trying to help. As far as the solid stamp and the outline stamp set, I have one that has a solid with a few spots around it and I’m supposed to use that first then the outline ontop. That’s why I wondered if yours had that as an option. It’s a cool look, more artsy and watercolor blob with splatter look. But it was hard to see for sure. I know you are very creative and will figure it out. But when you’re talking and asking on the video, I feel like I’m talking to you by leaving the comment. 😆 💜
@@dizzinese oh gosh, no, not at all, sometimes I need all the help I can get 😂😂😂 my brain gets stuck at times 🥰🥰🥰
Marion, I’m so glad I watched you today. You absolutely lifted my spirits!!
Aww that’s lovely to know, thank you 🥰🥰🥰
Very pretty card and butterflies. I would have a hard time lining the stamps up too, especially the last one. And I always have a mishap with my die cutting. Thanks have a nice weekend.
Glad to know I’m not alone, thank you 🥰🥰
Just use an eraser to condition your stamps & a Barron is awesome for applying pressure to stamps
Thank you 🤗🤗🤗
I'm gonna start as always with my favourite doo be doo's!! Great cards Marion & I feel your pain with that 2nd butterfly, I'd be going crazy!!
😂😂😂 it did nearly get me 😂😂🤗🤗🤗
Marion, I look forward to your videos SO much! Your SO much fun to watch!
Thank you so much Julie 🥰🥰🥰
Thanks for the shout out. Even I find lining up layering stamps difficult to get the correct alignment, especially the more detailed ones. I Like the embossing powder finish, gives a lifelike iridescence to the butterflies.
Thanks for the initial advice, glad you liked the finished look 🤗🤗🤗
Lovely card I live butterflies and I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't die cut right always get one that's not cut quite right
Thank you Myra, I suppose it’s our way of keeping them original 😂😂🥰🥰🥰
Both cards are beautiful!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!
Thanks so much, getting over jet lag, but getting there 😂😂🤗🤗🤗
It is pretty Marion - love the last card. The stamp/die set available in our country but oooh way to expensive. Now if you were to try these 2 sets on acetate - it could just work. Thanks for sharing ❤❤❤
Ohh I like that, acetate would look lovely, thank you 🥰🥰🥰
Fabulous job!!!!! So beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing. ❤❤❤
You are so welcome! 🤗🤗🤗
Evening Marion and all crafters
Hi, thanks for being here 🥰🥰
Marion, just a question for you or a suggestion when you are not getting a full impression when you’re stamping down I noticed you’re not using a pressure tool first of all that might help if you used a pressure tool you know one of those handheld things a dry eraser or one of those things they make all over the place a stamping tool for the pressure or I wonder if your limiting how well you’re stamping and your pressure because you’re in the very center of that Wheel if you were to remove that acetate off of the base expose the sticky paper and try to move your paper to a different area of the base and then Stamp in a different area. You may get a different amount of pressurein a different area so I would try that I think Stampin the very of the Wheel could have something to do with not getting an even Stamp impression. Just my thoughts.
Thanks Denise, I have a pressure tool, but forgot to use it 🫣🫣🥰🥰🥰
So pretty!!! I love those pearl powders. 😍 Hoping your flight back from Las Vegas goes as scheduled.🤞
Thanks lovely, we weren’t delayed, safely back, just trying to get over jet lag, off to see my babies today, hope Bill had a great time 🤗🤗🤗
@@marionemberson he's making the 8 hour drive right now! 😁
@@DVSDonna oppps a bit late replying 🥴🥴 I hope he’s back safely and had a fabulous time 🥰🥰🥰
Sweet cards!
Thank you 🥰🥰🥰
Super lovely x x x
Thanks so much 🤗🤗🤗
I always struggle with which direction to put my butterflies.
Me too 😂😂🥰🥰🥰
Hey Marion, your far from an idiot you just have a special way of doing thing that makes it far more interesting 😂
Thank you Tracy 🥰🥰🥰
I use an old nail file & gently rub it over new stamp
Thank you, my sanding block was a very fine grade but maybe not as fine as a file, I’ll try it 🥰🥰🥰
Yep, talk to those companies! You've convinced me I don't want these stamps. They should have registration marks on them that we can see to line up layered stamps! Mfg stuff overseas also means the quality control is garbage...and thus you'll also struggle with getting coverage. Cheap is as cheap does, but makers are still paying big bucks for the poor quality infecting brands we've previously trusted.
I’ve made a suggestion to Altenew, let’s see what happens 🥰🥰
That stamp tool is Tim holtz.?
It’s the Sizzix stamp and stencil/stamp and spin tool 🤗🤗
I might be wrong, but I thought you would do the fine detail line Stamp at the end that you would do your colors first and then at the end you would stamp over the color in the outline or the detail Stamp am I wrong or is it just depend on the colors you’re choosing and the embossing powder and what you’re using the embossing powder on I guess you could do it both ways right?
I think it can be done both ways Denise 🤗🤗🤗
Instead of sanding, it where you run the risk of actually damaging your Stamp could you use just a rubbery racer or even spray it with alcohol first because all you need to do is remove the residue that’s on the photopolymer from production. I thought that was what you were supposed to have to remove. I’ve never done it. I don’t have a problem with it, but I’ve seen other creators, use just the white erasers not the manway eraser but a regular white rubbery eraser and I wonder if you just sprayed it with alcohol and a microfiber towel and wiped it off if that wouldn’t just remove the residue and then you don’t run the risk of actually damaging your Stamp with a sanding block
I’ll give that a go, thanks Denise 🥰🥰🥰
Use an eraser to condition the stamps no problem. Enjoy you so much. I find the inks aren’t for me. Not much luck with them no matter what I do. Pretty cards tho. There should be better instructions with the set.
Thanks so much Judy 🥰🥰🥰
I don't sand my stamps. I don't think that really works but could ruin your stamps. Some people use an eraser but I just clean the stamps with stamp cleaner and that works great. You can also rub the stamps with your hands to remove the manufacturer's oils.
Thanks for the tip! I’ll try that 🤗🤗🤗
Please do not sand stamps. That’s too much for the surface and will leave microscopic tears, etc, in the surface. I’m pretty sure part of the problem with the Sizzix stamps is that they are not photopolymer, but silicone. You are using a die based ink and which will bead on that type of stamp material. I would suggest rubbing your finger all over the new ones, and then stamping with an archival ink first or trying either versamark or a pigment based ink and stamping off the stamp a number of times and reinking again and stamping off again. That should basically “fill in” the “pores” on the silicone so that you will then be able to get a better impression from that type of stamp and the die based inks. It very well may take you 5 or 6 inkings-and-pressings to get good impression just because of the materials. Natalie on NB Cards has explained the necessity to stamp several times with silicone and dye based stamps - I counted her stamps once, and she did it like 6 times in a row to get the impression she wanted! They are not as firm either, so you have to not press too hard when stamping or you will not get a crisp image. I’m not sure about why you are having an issue with inking Altenew stamps because I have had no trouble with them and I’m sure their stamps are photopolymer. (You probably already know all this, but you can tell the difference between the 2 products just from the odor - photopolymer smells very strongly when you open the set and is more ”sticky” to the touch and silicone has no odor and is more “stretchy” when you handle them.) I suspect that may be a different issue or perhaps as you said you don’t have a firm base under your positioner. Try moving your positioner to a different surface when you next find an image that isn’t stamping as you think it should. If that is the case, that should let you know pretty quickly. Your designs are always lovely and I like seeing you in “real” time as I can’t seem to make a card without 5 mistakes and I’ve been doing this for decades - you make me feel better about saying, “oh, it’s hand made!” TFS.
Thanks so much. I had a feeling they were silicone as they were far stretchier than my photopolymer ones, I’ll do the finger rub on those 🥰
I’m so glad you enjoy my videos, thanks so much for your comments, I really appreciate it 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Is not painting because is a third butterfly stamp for paint the part that is white
Thank you 🤗🤗
Please don’t use a sander. Just rub your fingers or a cloth over stamps before using the first time
Thank you, it was a very fine grade, but not as fine as an eraser 🤗🤗🤗
