built in looping and epic effects per channel, who wouldve thought! i still find the db4 was the most playable mixer i've ever owned. the only downside to it was its kinda ugly and confusing to look at initially 🤣
I am having midi mixed signals with my ableton push and K2 working with Traktor. Certain pads K2 are triggering my push....any thoughts on a fix? Thanks for any tips!!!
Hi, Please make sure that you have each device set to its own dedicated MIDI channel. Also, make sure that the software adheres to these channels and is not set to ‘All’. Thanks, Luke
I would like an update for the K2 and Win11 drivers. I have installed the latest drivers onto my new laptop (ROG Duo 16 2022 model) and Windows doesn't seem to work with the latest Win11 driver from the A&H website. Control panel doesn't recognise the device in the USB device manager. And my laptop just keeps making connected then disconnected noises on the USB ports. The power stays on and working on the K2 as the K2 is lit up, but can't get it to work. Trying to get it to work with the Beatport DJ browser app.
Hi DJ Rob, Thanks for the message. We can confirm hat K2 support is active for Windows 11. www.allen-heath.com/xone-software/ Please note; We are aware of previous problem with the Xone:K2 on computers with the AMD Ryzen processor. The displayed symptom seems to be failed enumeration between the host computer and the K2 controller. From all cases we have seen so far, it is solely on these Ryzen-based machines. However, we are happy to inform you that we now have a working update (v2.5.0) for Xone:k2 to run on Ryzen-based hardware. The caveat is that the update needs to be performed either on an Intel-based Mac or Intel PC. However, once the K2 device has been successfully updated on a supported platform. It will connect and run just fine on the Ryzen system. I have attached a link below to the v2.5.0 updater for both Mac OS and Windows PC. Please use the one that is relevant to you. Unpackage the zip file to your desktop and open the updater. You will be prompted to connect the k2 device. Once the connection has been established run the updater and follow the on-screen instruction. www.allen-heath.com/ahproducts/xonek2/#tab5 If the installation proves to be successful you can connect and continue to use the k2 with the Ryzen hardware. If you have any further question or require assistance, please drop us a line to support@allen-heath.com Best regards, Luke
Thanks for this map. I have k2 + external xone 23c. I have some question: If is possible to record sets if i use 23c as external mixer? How can i change the sensivity of tempo buttons? Jump 0,5% its to much i prefer 0,1 or 0,05% maybe its possible to change the volume fader to pitch band fader?
Hi, Thanks for the message, If the DVS jumpers are not fitted, then 23C will send the master record feed on USB 1&2. It is these channels that you will need to setup and route to the desired recording software. For guidance on what increments the pitch control can be set to and how to action this, please contact NI support. support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us Thanks, Luke
I have a question. If i have 2 K2, one plug in USB and the second plug with the ethernet in the first one. Did I choose two différent midi Channel or à différent? Exemple : The first one on the 14 et the second on 15 Thx
Hi Francois, Thanks for the message, Yes, running two K2 devices on the same computer, you must set each device to a separate MIDI channel. There is advice on how to do this on page 11 of the user guide. www.allen-heath.com/content/uploads/2023/06/XoneK2_UG_AP8509_3.pdf Best regards, Luke
I don't understand why the K1 got discontinued though. Most people use these purely as a midi controller and don't need the audio interface of the K2. You guys should seriously consider releasing the K1 again or an MK2 version of this product without the audio interface...
Thanks for the Mapping, really well done! My only problem is that my effects doesn't work. It shows and work in traktor but with no effect on the sound?
@xonedjofficial hi, noticed you still have xone 43 listed in easy find place, where you'd expect to find it, with px5, xone 96 etc, so can yoi add the xone43c, where it should be. I've had this same challenge now, please, try and Google Xone 43c driver, you'll get results which consist of the very poor explained pdf about jumpers, I still don't understand this and it's a massive issue with the xone43c, why on earth you'd put jumpers instead of a switch is absolute mind boggling xone, it's about as mind boggling as you not maintaining the DB2 and DB4 mixers upto date with firmware and drivers, they your best 2 mixers ever, so that makes no sense whatsoever, I had to return a DB4 last year because it couldnt go above a low version of serato dude to your lack of support. I'd love some thoughts on why your website is hardworking and why yoi chose to stop supporting the DB4 which cost me £1850a
I'm using the provided mapping in external mixing mode. Question to the community, looking to remap unused volume faders. Any suggestions on best functionality?
Hi, The Cue volume and mix are accessed by having the cross fader assigned to mixer in the software. The soundcard also needs so to be running in internal mode in the software setup dialogue. Headphone control is not applied to the mapping, as it would have been built for use in conjunction with a mixer in external mode, so you will need to add then controls yourself. Below is a link to a video that shows how to map the pots. ruclips.net/video/svdIrtpbqYo/видео.html Thanks, Luke
Hi! My K2 is not going into midi mapping directly, the layer button is lightened in red, i can switch it to orange or green only, even if I press the encoder. I am using a M1, to mention that. Thank you in advance for your feedback.
I picked up 2 K2s. I can only get 1 K2 to control decks A and B. I have my second K2 set to midi channel 13. Is there a way to get this mapping to allow me to control Deck C and D as well?
Hi Mix man, Thanks for the message. For this you will need to modify and Taylor the mapping to suit your setup. To do this, please go in to Traktor’s controller management dialogue. Select the desired controller assignment you want to change/alter. It will then be displayed in the ‘device mapping’ where you can use the drop down to change the MIDI channel. However, you will need to ensure that you select the same note value after the channel number. I hope this helps! Best regards, Luke
Great almost perfect mapping, thanks Allen & Heath One question: why isn't the Preview Player feature implemented? It's a super handy feature of Traktor and it's quite common in other mappings. Maybe it should have been added? In that case, the mapping would be just ideal.

What could be the problem if the K2 won't turn on after holding the power on setup button?

The power on setup button should be pressed whilst connecting the K2 to USB or X:link (bus power). However, this is only to access the device setup.
When connecting a K2 it will seem unresponsive until it has been mapped to software. If the K2 goes through the power-up sequence (LEDs flash from top to bottom). Then it is likely that this is the case.
