Thank you Michelle for reviewing books for us! I love being made more aware of books I would like to read. This was SUCH a heavy book to read, but also super interesting! It tells the story of the people who were brave enough to resist the Germans during the Second World War, and it was honestly so impactful and eye-opening.

I liked this book too, in part because it tells teen girls that if they are brave and yet careful they can do great things.

It is an interesting viewpoint. The story of the occupation of Paris and other parts of France and the resisters is well known, but not well known, and imagined in this book, is that of course rebellious teens would have resisted! I thought the author did a great job.

There is nothing inappropriate for a grade 8 girl. She will find it interesting and inspiring.
