- Everton secured a 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon, with the crucial win seeing the Blues now five points clear of the bottom three in the Premier League.
Idrissa Gana Gueye fired the Toffees into a first-half lead with a well-taken finish from the edge of the 18-yard-box - the midfielder’s first goal since his winner in the 3-2 victory against Crystal Palace in November.
Pushing on in a tight second half, Everton found a vital second goal to double their advantage. On 77 minutes, Dwight McNeil - in his 200th Premier League appearance - struck for the Toffees, sending Goodison into a bouncing atmosphere with his powerful-low effort from 25 yards out.

There certainly was a reaction! Good intensity and fighting spirit throughout the game!
And in many parts, especially in the first half, Everton played also some good football, after the first nervous minutes.
In the second half would have liked a bit more possession football by Everton. One reason that it didn't happen was that we lost too many times the ball too easily while attacking and in the the final third. We still need more accuracy in our passing and better shielding of the ball by our players when in possession.
And of course our win was marred by the very bad looking head injury to Beto. Hopefully it's not too serious. Luckily he is a fighter! 💪

I know the football isnt what fans want but considering all the crap, hes emassed 38 points with 5 games to go which last season was 35 and the year before was 39 so hes done the job required so far.

I'd say the summer transfer window with all the frees that available I'm hoping for 8 out and 8 in to push up towards challenging for 10th upwards next season .
