- ► Join me as I visit Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London to watch FROZEN THE MUSICAL twice in one day. I watch the first performance from the CHEAPEST SEAT in the theatre, and the second show from the MOST EXPENSIVE SEAT! I compare the two and talk about my experience. How much do you normally spend on West End theatre shows? Would you consider paying £100 for a musical?

Does anyone else find it odd that the audience boos Hans during the bows?? He's not in character anymore guys! The actor deserves applause just like anyone else!
It happens in every musical with every badie...same happens at lion King with Scar.
I know right! I know that usually happens in Panto but Frozen isn’t a Panto it’s a proper West End show that actors have worked their whole lives to get to

@miathomas6476 George Asprey who plays Scar in Lion King said the more boos he gets from the crowd the better he feels he played the role as it shows he is a convincing baddie.
If you got booed it means you did the character justice and a lot of them laugh about it . I thought booing them was a form of affirmation telling them that they did a good job .

Thank you so much for this. I was just looking at tickets to surprise my nieces with and was worried our view wouldn’t be the best for £20 but I honestly feel like after seeing this video, higher up would probably be better to see than heads in our way on the floor
Amazing video, thank you for sharing! I'll travel to London on September and booked a ticket for 32,50 GBP in the Grand Circle - I'm soo excited! I've seen the show in Germany in March already (and paid 125 EUR even with a discount and was sitting in row 20!!) but watching in original language is a very special experience to me. :)
Such a good idea for a video. The first time I saw frozen, I got the £20 seats in the balcony and my view was better than my more expensive seat in the circle the second time I saw it. I was really surprised by how comfortable the balcony was to sit in
Amazing thank you for this! I think I got lucky with my £20 seats. Booked for the opening and it's been postponed a couple of times and struggled to find seats the same price and dates that worked, after checking daily 2 seats became free Christmas eve in the balcony for £20!!! Will be extra magical being in London for Christmas I can't wait xx

Thanks for another helpful video I surprised my wife on our anniversary Wednesday with the show we sat in royal circle lovely theatre and great show. She did cry at Let it go with all the effects.

Hi Sam, such a great perspective , love the video. I've been thinking about booking a ticket to see the show & have been toying with the price dilema of the max I'd be prepared to pay? And I've seen a few £99.50 seats & thought , shall I? But then, given myself a talking to that its such alot of money!!! ha! I'll let you know what I go for when I decide. And I'm about 70 miles away from London so I need to add on a train journey too. At one point , I did consider an overnight stay but very quickly re-considered after viewing some hotel prices!!! Eek! lol x
I've just booked to see it next month when I am in london. The only ticket left is in the grand circle and it was £70, it seems expensive and I don't normally go to musicals but figured I'd try it for the christmas season. I am a but worried about leg space as I am tall but regardless I hope it's worth it :)

Last month I saw Frozen the Musical in Hamburg Germany for the first time and almost sat in the exact same seat as you in the first show and payed 100 punds ….
I really can not believe how cheap your ticket was, Frozen in Germany can cost up to over 200 pounds for the best seats.
Maybe it was because I went on a Saturday but I also really enjoyed the show and would go back any time soon :)
What are the differences between the Broadway production and the London production? I noticed that the backdrop for the closing scene when the cast take their final bows looks different on the London stage (compared to the Broadway stage).
I had a mid price ticket on the upper balcony (front row) and the view was great! 😊
I went to see frozen today with my daughter thanks to your video I got the balcony seats and yes the views was amazing 🤩.
I’m going to see frozen this Saturday yay! I’m seated in the grand circle seats B6 and B7. Should I be worried about any major obstruction in my seats? They were £42.50 each so hopefully they’re decent 🤞update for anyone sitting in those seats or are planning to sit in anything cheaper I would recommend going for the £20 seats in the Balcony I couldn’t see any of the right hand side of the stage it didn’t help that there was a child squirming around and their Dad having to lean over every 5 mins

Genius idea!!! Clicked so fast 🤣 We paid £69 each for middle Royal Circle and loved the view, but now the same seats are going for £150pp! 🤯 (still worth it, so amazing!!!)

Tickets are generally more expensive on the weekend than in the week as there is more demand on the weekend. Hence frozen doing 5 shows over the weekend.
Great video sam im going in November and i payed £127 for my seat in row E in the stalls and thats on a sunday aswell but i dont get any hospitality but still cant wait to see it

This video was so interesting I paid £30 to sit in the upper circle next march 2022 but when I saw it in New York I paid more and was in the middle of the circle had a great view but there was a bar in the way when we saw it on broadway. I am dreading the prices when this show goes on tour as lion king is wanting £99 in Cardiff I paid £30 for my seat for lion king In London a few weeks ago and I was in the stalls and had a fantastic view. TBH your better of seeing it in London now as tour prices have gong mad .
Great idea to show the different perspective from seats of different values and locations. It would have been cool if you were able to see a show with the understudy and one with the regular lead since you were paying for two shows, but still cool!
The only time I can say it was worth every penny to pay top dollar for a show was Lion King. I was lucky enough to snag an amazing seat at the last minute the theater had released, seven rows back from the stage in the middle. What was cool about it was being able to see exactly how the costumes worked from the outside and the inside, and the ability to see the faces of the actors, especially behind a costume. The ultimate was when one of the giraffes bent it's neck down into the seating and it's head stopped about an inch above my lap and stayed there for about 15 seconds. I could have cradled it's face in my hands. So, if you ever see Lion King again, get the closest seat you possibly can!! 😁

Has anyone had any experiences of people singing along? A few kids singing is understandable, I just don’t want the actors to be drowned out as this may ruin the experience.
