    Great video, thanks. Worked like a charm. I love that in the owner's manual it says if you need the rear wiper blade serviced, bring it to the dealer. So they can charge me an hour of labor, and make me wait a week to do it? No thanks.

    Thanks man! I couldn't figure out how to get the blade off my 2013! I also put on a 14" blade and it fits fine, they didn't have 12" so I thought I'd give it a try. I believe it was a RainX Exact fit, works perfectly in case anyone was wondering if a longer blade would fit. Thanks again!

    Thanks for the video. I used a battery terminal puller to release the blade from the bolt. I cringed at how much pressure I had to apply to get the arm to pop loose. Thanks, Nissan. Make an easy job more difficult.

    Great video. Years ago my local Nissan dealer wanted to charge me $36 dollars for a new blade and installation . I had already wasted $16 on a new blade that I had broken because the guy at the dealership told me there was nothing special to change out the blade. I stopped using them for anything.

      You're welcome Marcy. I love my Murano, I just don't like the way they mounted this wiper it's not owner maintenance friendly for sure. I also have a 1995 Pathfinder with around 300,000 miles on it. It's for the most part been maintenance free except for the usual things the occasionally needs changing like battery, brakes, water pump, tires, oil etc. Thanks for the nice comment and watching. So in other words seems like you got a lot more work that you're doing on your video than what I've seen other people do. The only thing I still haven't seen one for my year in make of car cuz I have a 2016 rogue and all my fairly similar to each other. The one that was the closest was a Murano rogue wiper blade replacement and it was a 2016 and he did not take the blade arm off.

    Good video on the removal of the actual blade. No need to remove the whole assembly. Just lift up and twist the base of the blade down toward the back window. Takes about 30 seconds to do the whole thing.

    • @keithnoneya
      @keithnoneya  5 лет назад +2

      Hey Mathew Thanks. I actually tried that with the blade on it and the new blade too. I couldn't get it to swing down enough to release it from the wiper arm because I couldn't raise it high enough to release it. I was really puzzled at first, I've been changing blades on vehicles for years and this was the first vehicle I couldn't do that, hence the video. Thanks for watching. If you know how to do that please post a video on that, I would like to do it the easy way for sure. Best Wishes n Blessings. Keith Noneya

      @@keithnoneya after being in this industry for nearly 40 years I have learned that you always want to make it easier for yourself or the next mechanic to do a job or fix something or even the vehicle owner. @@willsrestorations Yeah I've been doing it for about 40 years too. Bad previous mechanics and watching earlier Mechanic videos is kinda why I started the channel. My dad was a professional mechanic and taught me a lot of things, the rest I learned from study, trial and error. I got tired of some of the those video being out right dangerous if people followed their advice. So I started the channel to help others. One channel I like for professionals is Scotty Kilmer because he makes you think. However for novices he's either going to help someone ruin their car or get someone killed because he leaves out some very vital information. Thanks again, love the tip. I've always said never put your faith and your education and RUclips videos, they'll steer you wrong most of the time.

    I hate to just but some of the other videos seen about replacing rogue wiper blades which is pretty close to what you have on the Murano because it looks almost identical they do not take the arm off at all they just angle it a little bit and just slide it off just like you did only you took the arm off and then slid off with it off and then put it back on. There's been two other videos one is the way you can turn it enough for you can just slide off like you would your front wiper blades and then the other video for a different year shows if you angle it just a little bit you can just pop it off. Basically it was 1 point in the blade itself he just popped it right off.

    • @keithnoneya
      @keithnoneya  5 лет назад +1

      Hey Chris yeah I tried to bend it and do all those tricks but in the end I had to do it the way I did it. • @ChrisStevenscsdesign73

      @@keithnoneya Funny thing is I did it without taking it off at all. The main thing is to left it off as high as you can and pull. Only thing is about from the looks of it that one part of the arm may wear down to where it will not be able to hold it. Which it was very poorly designed. Only with my replacement blade, I got it is not as cool looking. It not like that nice look to it like it was before. I will see if I can find it and post the link.

    If you have to do all that to get it off just go to the dealer lol

    • @keithnoneya
      @keithnoneya  2 года назад

      I would agree with you if you don't mind wasting time or money. The dealer charges A LOT of money to do that. So I didn't see a need to do that when people can do it by themselves in about 10 minutes or less. It takes far less time than it takes to; drive there, check in, wait and then check out and then drive home. Taking it to the dealer would cost you about 50-60 bucks and waist about an hour of your time, and that's if they can get to it right when you show up. Otherwise you might have to get a ride home and then get a ride back as well. So I made the video to save people time and money, and they can do it in the comfort of their own driveway, and then spend the saved money on something else. Cute cats for an Avatar, love cats myself too! Best Wishes & Blessings. Keith Noneya

    Please, don’t do that….It’s all wrong

      Lol everyone's entitled to their opinion even if they're wrong and don't know there are TWO types of wiper arm assemblies on these vehicles. I tried the other one you suggested 1st and it simply doesn't work with this wiper blade assembly. I've been doing automotive work for over 30+ years and have never seen a wiper assembly so poorly designed that you have to remove the wiper arm to install a new one. Thanks for at least trying to look out for us. Best Wishes & Blessings. Keith Noneya

    this guy needs to turn in his man card, you need ZERO tools to replace the wiper blade on this vehicle ..... how embarrasing

    ruclips.net/video/H-l7s__x3hU/видео.html This is the better one with an arm that does not go so far up plus where you need to push it to take it off. I hope that helps. Only not sure if the Murano is tighter then my 2016 Rogue. I looked at this video and worked so easy. It took me a little longer then this guy did it. I hope that helps you and everyone else to make it a little faster and easy too. Only if I need to replace the arm I know how to do that now as well :).
    ruclips.net/video/Hs9osv9L4Rk/видео.html So you know I could not get mine up that high like in the video. Only if you push down on the blade the is close to the arm you can do the same thing. I just made sure I pull up as far as It would allow me without breaking it. Then put the same push on that area and it popped right off for me. Then snap it back in like the video. It looks harder then it what is really like. I thought I would have to take it to the dealer and the guy at the parts place thought the same thing too. Just like a few other things on that car. So you know mine is about the same is your car so you know and if did go up about as far as your arm does and I did get it. Just got to be as high and careful with it Maybe I can upload a video myself to show you. I had to look at what other people did to figure it out. That will save you a lot of pain pulling that arm off for you.

    I m sorry, but this guy likes to do extra work. You don't have to take the arm off, nor do you need that puller or channel locks. Flip the arm up and flip out blade and it will come off. New blade will snap right in. Took all od probably 15 to 20 seconds.

      I get to see this comment a lot since posting this video. Nope I don't like to do extra work, and i've been working on vehicles and changing wiper blades since the mid 70's. This year Murano has TWO wiper blade assemblies. One like the one you're talking about you just lift and change it. The 2nd one like the one in this video you can't do that, to unhook it you have to pull the arm. Most of the people who know how to do it the easy way are here because they found out that there were two types of arms for this year. If I was you and didn't know that there were TWO different arm assemblies for this year, LOL, I'd be making the same comment you made too. Thanks for watching anyways though. Best Wishes & Blessings. Very helpful! I needed this. Saw a webpage with instructions and the first instruction was 1. Release the old blade. 🤬 So NOT helpful! Thanks for your step-by-step instructions!

      You're welcome very much. I have a few people who say that you don't have to take the wiper arm off, I tell them on this model with this wiper you do. One guy said I needed to turn in my man card, LOL. Thanks for watching and the nice comment. Best Wishes & Blessings. Keith Noneya

    This is completely false you don't need to remove nothing of the whipper and not to put in risk the windshield.

      I here this occasionally, unfortunately for some reason there were a few wipers made that you were not able to lift high enough to do the simply bend the wiper and slip it off, I know I've tried multiple times. I tried the life and bend one time and I was afraid the wiper arm and blade were going to snap in half. So your comment is correct for most Murano blade assemblies but not true for all Murano blade assemblies. Thanks for trying to help. Best Wishes & Blessings. Keith Noneya
