- Longest suspended monorail in the world. Look from drivers perspective. 2x speed up.
I am filming from Chiba station. There are 2 lines starting from there. First one is long, second is short.
for all that concern "transportation" Japan is beyond! j envy the life quality of this beautiful country and j envy the japan sense of civic!
Italy is far far away from the japanese standard!...always too much mafia!!
ciao ohayoo cheers greetings from Italy!
@Apollo Quincy can you give me your access code
*cries in American
Especially in the south, there's no public transit infrastructure; just highways...
japanese engineers are talented
ep5tv he never said they weren't.
Monorail are German invention
Actually thats a german type of monorail. They...bought it.
Just like the transrapid, also invented by german engineers.
Pretty scarry...
Germans haha . You Japan's asskisser!
I am writing a novel that takes place in a futuristic society with some Japanese influence. I am so using this as the public transit system in my novel's world. It's so unique looking.
Nice! How's it going?
Yo give us an update
Is it done?
Slacker lol
wow Japan is cleann!!
Oregairu
Yes that's why you are here
Did u know that Germany have this in year 1902?
I did not know of course that Germany had before.
The building on the left at 6:37 isn't there anymore
Wah kya train hai 🔥🔥🔥
this isn't even its final form
Great video. As someone also mentioned there is a similar suspended 13km monorail in Wuppertal in Germany. I was built in 1901 but is still used. The difference is that the track is mostly built over the middle of the river held up by stanchions on each bank.
This sort of system is perfect for the densely populated cities in Japan but in some ways it worries me:
Japan = Earthquakes = Trains drop off track or track falls down!
Since the runnung wheels are completely encased by the overhead structure derailments are practicaly impossible.
There's nothing on earth like a genuine, bona fide, electrified, six-car Monorail!
hv you done this before commenting🤔🤔
Passenger still can look down amazing view..damn i love japan idea
It's a facinating suspended monorail !!!
They are surrounded by technology, and their technology are next level.
... fax machines lol
this looks so cool :O
Actually old technology but still cool to see
@cillantro yes, monorail is used to move around masses. It can be pretty crowded during rush hour. For other areas, which are not served by monorail, they use buses.
Greetings to India!
Japan really living in 3046
This would be the perfect mass transport commuter solution to Nairobi kenya.........if we we're'nt too corrupt even garb road reserves!
Get the colonizers out, form the African Union and watch Africa grow from internal trade.
if theres an electric power out how the people get out? since they cant go out and walk on the rail
There are doors under the floor where fire fighters use ladders to get people.
Thank's for the memories .rode it lots of times in 1989 -1995 Chiba koen to Chiba station.
Why it doesn't fall onto the ground?
sorry, but i think your question are so stupid :/ (i'm being honest)
Goblok
Wow now I really want to go to Japan! This is hecka sick :-D
The most exiting part is what you see after you get off the train :)
@@seamusmckeon9109 And what would that be?
Aaah.. I really love this suspended Monorail. I saw it at a Japanese movie that showed me this Suspended Monorail. I hope my country also develop this transportation :')
Love it.
They could build tracks on the top of the support beams too.
and if you look to your left, you can see some squid kids playing a turf war
what a cool monorail, even its exciting to watch your video, feels like flying, i hope Indonesia can have such a monorail in coming years, really want to visit japan one day...
isnt that concept unnecessarily complicated?
what about a normal monorail
R3dSt4r90 If snow and ice are part of the climate, the enclosed suspended design gives the track protection from the elements.
Monorail gantung japanese AMAZING so good, so nice better than US monorail..
Haha
very risky building this in a earthquake prone country
+spiritbuu , yes the skyscrapers and monorails fall over all the time with all the quakes they have there. Too bad the engineers didn't take that into account. *snicker*
are there any benefits on making a suspended monorail instead of a normal one? i mean, it just seems cool, and i dont know if there are any benefits
This should be built in the Philippines too
How does an average japanese commit sudoku with this type of metro?
Why tho? Wouldn't it be 5x easier to just build a train on a viaduct. You would literally only use half the materials and it would be compatible with the existing train network. I guess it looks kinda cool, but it's getting old now and it's not like they are going to extend it.
It's been 20 years since we opened
wow Great - I am from Maharashtra India...
They should build monorails in my country belgium it could really help there against traffic there
It spoils view a bit. Subways are invisible.
@@travelvideos The Underground (Subway) costs up to $100 million per mile to build, Monorails cost between $10 and $30 million per mile, the numbers tell you which is more feasible.😁
@BrandonSeattle I think it´s Wuppertal, Germany - It opened 1901
yes, thats true! Thank you. Let me correct description.
You are most welcome! Thanks for sharing this video! I love Tokyo and all kinds of trains there! = )
If only these were more widespread in cities. If there was only a quick and easy and safe way to change tracks. If these were only cost effective enough to be able to afford the amount of workman prudently required to maintain the train itself and the track and the support pillars. If only I lived in a densely populated hilly terrain with meandering rivers and creeks and pre-existing roads to justify building these incredible marvels.
@patrickcorliss or it is just the psychology of the ppl. they see something "hanging" and in their mind it is dangerous to fall. so it could mean less passengers. just my guess :)
wow! amazing i'm feeling riding on it!!! awesome..
Wow this is so amazing.
My grandfather has engaged with construction of this train
Japan is futuristic
Very suitable for congested city, use less space too!
We have also . Greetings from Wuppertal -Germany
Yes you do. I saw a video here on that which was very nice.. but there were barely any passengers. How come ? lol
🇩🇪 🇯🇵 will rule the world again!
@@Nexus-7.0 Because its
germany and not japan. Only 80k are driving with wuppertals monorail at one day. I dont want to know how many are using the train in japan.
Advance technology, better people and cleanliness that’s why japan is my favorite country
Better people? They're xenophobic and narrowminded as fuck, dead inside too.
4:23 - 4:28/ To any RUclipsrs familiar with the Chiba region of Japan, a quick question. The apparent baseball field and surrounding seats made me wonder. Is this ballpark for a professional Japanese team or a collegiate league? The multicolored seating patterns and exterior slanted load bearing columns make the stadium look like it was built around the same time as those God awful cookie-cutter stadiums we Americans endured back in the 60's and 70's...🤣🇵🇷🇺🇸🗽🦂🇯🇵😎
so the things i saw in anime was real
They should build one in Amsterdam. A really high one.
And make it fully transparent.
Now 1007 sub wooooo martin
What is the difference between a rail under the train or metro and above?
Whit difference I mean the construction and cost to make it.
Also how do they fix or do the maintenance on this tracks?
I don't know about the cost. But it seems to take less place for support than rail under the train types.
I don't want to compute all the budget but by just imagining how many tons of steels and concretes we use just to build a conventional railway from huge foundations to the wide (sky)railway kilometers long, compared to this kind of (suspended) monorails. It's just amazing, really, you can see that this is more efficient and costs less significantly.
Hitori Kun You might want to review Anatoly Yunitskiy's string transport solution as it covers the cost issue rather thoroughly:

Whose here bcs of tiktok?
i love japani
i love japani taren
i love japan
Wuppertales Sister.
Wow !! This is amazing !!!
Thanks for sharing... ^^
People in the background sound like jawas from star wars
Putaing !
Wow, surprisingly they are fast :D
Oregairu
We don't need flying cars. The third dimension of transportation is this!
Hi I live in a town where the ORIGINAL SCHWEBEBAHN travels this path is already a good copy good movie, greetings, martin
@AngelBiLove
Since I'm not a backwards Republican, I can't dissagree that America is behind times. Seattle is even more behind than other American cities. we only have 1 train line.
Jogja kayaknya butuh kek gini dah. Kalo pagi udah mulai macet
Can anyone tell me who the makers of the train cars and system are? Having trouble finding it online.
Mitsubishi
System in SAFEGE Monorail
Train Series is Type 1000
@AngelBiLove
Seattle is the first Seatttle with a monorail back in the 60's. but it only goes from downtown to the space needle. Other than that just 1 lightrail line. Nirvana is my favorite rock bank.
Great solution but it’s kind of chunky and an eyesore
Never seen an implied roundabout like the one at 5:05 before
Take a look at some "alpine coaster" videos. They're just as scenic as these videos while also being MUCH MORE FUN to be on.
have a question does the monorail stop when there is an earthquake like the shinkansen do
I prefer a normal monorail on the rails instead of this scary one. Too bad they took ut down in sydney
Wow!!, we dont have shit like this in The Netherlands. wish we had.
World's slowest rollercoaster ride.
I don't quite get, how this is better than ordinary street car...
Public transport. A train needs to be built somewhere and there were too much buildings and roads in the way so this was built.
In Japan, streetcars are in the way of cars, so they are not built many new ones, and the subway is expensive for the number of users, so the monorail was the best.
Subscribed🥰🥰
@BrandonSeattle I meant Seattle wasthe first city with a monorail
lol greets from wuppertal
this is what mexico city needs!!!!!!
it s look like Disneyland
suspended monorail needs more infrastructure than normal monorail ~
A flying monorail? Do these things even exit?
I Love japan
xix xix
Doubi..
i remember seeing this in a movie or a anime or a tv show but i cant remember!!! i remember there was a fight too
Family Guy
nossa ,muito legal...
wow hunging 0.0
wow AMAZING japan monorail like bird
suspended monorail~~
If I’m one of the passengers, i would freak out and leave the train immediately!
and fall ....
huaaahhh sereeeemmm tapi keren!

That's very high in some parts
