I've been wanting to plant a strawberry pot for years. After seeing your video, I'm all in! Cant wait to do this. Thank you! I would love to see the update.
Thank you for your wonderful video. I have never used a strawberry pot before. I've never heard of it during my 7 year residency in Hong Kong. The instruction is perfectly clear, thank you for this perfect education video. 🥰 Now I've moved to the UK, i very much look forward to learn growing my own. Thank you very much for your hard work.
What a Great instructional video! I just got my bare root Strawberry plants and can't wait to plant them today in my Strawberry Pot! Much appreciation! 🍓🍓🍓
Brilliant thanks so much! Any idea how to grow strawberries in a raised bed? Would love to see an update video if this strawberry pot! Thanks again, Jack
Strawberries grow really well in raised beds - especially if you like to have it permanently planted with something. Definitely go for the drip irrigation (not those little tiny spray irrigation sprinklers). I'd mulch with straw too 👍 And we did harvest some of the first berries from this strawberry pot a few weeks ago! I'll have to get some new footage
Excellent demonstration! And, now I know why they're called STRAWberries... because they're grown on straw! Thank you for the shots showing the inside of the pot and the way you spread out the roots. You did a great job explaining why you did what you did. My only criticism is the music in the background. I find it extremely distracting, even at low volume. You have a lovely voice and it deserves to be heard on its own. I've just purchased two strawberry pots and am now in search of bare root berries to plant in them. Thank you for showing the proper way to do it and for explaining why. ~ Lisa
I have a question! I have a strawberry planter just like that and recently planted some bare root strawberries into it. But some of the ones in the lowest pockets died...other ones to the side and the top are fine though...are there good ways to replace the dead plants or should I just deal with it?
Oooh good question. I would wait for one of the plants in a pocket above to send off a runner - and then encourage that runner to root its new little baby sprout in the lower pocket. Also, I had one in a lower pocket that I thought got fried by the heat, but it ended up coming back from the roots and flowering
I got mine at a local garden center - they usually come in packs of 12 or 25 here. Ask for "bare root strawberries" or "bulk strawberry roots for planting" instead of "potted strawberry plants". Sometimes they come in bags with a cardstock label. The strawberries I planted were of the type "eclair" (from Florissa brand) but there are tons of yummy types of strawberries to grow (www.homefortheharvest.com/best-tasting-strawberry-varieties/). Check out your local garden center and ask them if they carry them! 🙌
I’d love to see an update! Please link it in the description if you get around to doing one! Happy Harvesting!

Isn't using a PE or ceramic pot bad since it contains toxic metals??
You said you use potting soil for your strawberry plants but the bag says mix did you mean potting mix?
Future Updates please!!
