Kate Rinzler

Kate Hughes Rinzler gave her life to art, and cultural preservation. She was married to Ralph Rinzler and instrumental in the creation of the Smithsonian Folk Arts Fair. She was a dancer, a quilter, a community artist, puppet-maker, educator, and in her final years loved painting batiks and working with children. She was a true inspiration to anyone who knew her, bot generous in heart and inspiration she is missed.
In her last days she requested that her life's work be documented. She battled cancer and her philosophy and approach to cancer was the same as her approach to life, a learning opportunity that requested her to rise to her best and most creative self!
