Bought it on the launch day because I needed a bike with good ground clearance. Only the bikes from adv segment provide this. Himalayan's value for money drops in long run due to expensive service costs. Thanks to Bajaj, KTM could keep that in check. Got a bill of 1500rs for 1st service. I was looking for a bike which would stand out of the lot and trust me people ask about this bike because there are a lot of Himalayans already. Only very few people know about KTM's adventure. Me, being 5'11'' absolutely enjoy the tall seat on this. Also, let's me brag about it a bit. Gives you a bossy feeling on road. Absolutely right about the vibes creeping in around 110kmph. But, I still feel this is one of the, if not the most refined engines from KTM. I would've really loved more low end torque because it helps in the city and whenever you just wanna enjoy the ride on 2nd 3rd gear. I did consider 390 but the frequent complaints of my friend's ride by wire failure and electronics failures on 390 adventure pulled me away from those electronics. I ain't justifying my buying option, just putting it out there so that everyone knows what they're getting into.

A great review! Only if KTM could get its quality alright. I own the 390 Adventure and am being taken for an another Adventure since past 6 months. Faced the battery issues thrice after which the bike fails to crank. Once leaving me stranded on the road. Not to forget fork oils leaking. Not that I ride offroad trails like Sarge just did. Just our normal Mumbai roads (Though at times the roads can beat the trails for their quality). Inshort a nightmarish experience. But yeah.. Leaving that aside, the bike is excellent to ride on.
You know moto lover pulse , whenever I see your reviews just felt it's different and out of the box from regular reviewers .Choreography is next level every time . 👏👌👍.

Feels like a niche product for a very select and discerning segment. Touring and off-roading in those remote regions worth exploring, its the Xpulse I'd trust (with the Rally pack of course!). Easier to make cheap running repairs on the fly which the terrain will no doubt force on the adventurer. Great review as always Sarge! A visual treat with such richly flavoured content!

I hope I'll get used to it cuz I want to enjoy it as much as possible. What do you think is the proper shifting speed or RPM?

For 54K more you get the Adventure 390 with more power, traction control, riding modes, quick shifter, cornering ABS, that tasty TFT display.. sounds like a no brainer.
Agreed.

Which one would you suggest this or Himalayan?
How does this compare to the BMW G 310GS? Primary use-cases being touring and basic offroading (softroading mostly)
Yet to ride the baby GS
@@SagarSheldekarOfficial ouch! saw a few other reviews going gaga about the magic carpet like ride quality and better low-end grunt on the baby GS, which seems like a fair compromise for outright power of the 390
will wait for your take though
