Lovely song!!! Love this song and the way she backed up by the choir considering there's no music behind them! Great job Hayley! But where has this slight vibrato appeared from, she has never had one before!!
popin is correct. She had traces of vibrato on the video "Hayley Westenra sings from NZ", or whatever it was called. So it was noticiable when she was 16-17. It was noticable on Odyssey. Watch the following clip if you want to see pronounced vibrato from her: /watch?v=BOrlCYp8TgU Only very young girls have no vibrato at all, or, at least, none that is noticable.
She has always had some vibrato but it's a little more apparent here as she matures and refines. I don't like too much, but her technique is just right.
What do you mean? Hayley has always had vibrato, just not as much as Opera singers do. I love the bit of vibrato she has, too much vibrato sounds weird to me. =P
Just a wonderful and lovely song.
I love her voice.
Thanks so much , Anna, for sharing this one.
