I am an absolute beginner, I bought my first guitar today watched part 1 and did it in 10 minutes.. This is a little harder but i'll get through it! Thank you very much!
This is a tough song for an absolute beginner, so don't get discouraged if you are having a harder time than you thought you may. Keep practicing. - James
absolute beginner and did first part in 10min, im not even going to believe this. This SONG takes HOURS to master, and so who ever read this bullcrap comment above please don't get discouraged
@@prehistorictv1995 oh I didn't mean to discourage you, it's been two years and I can do some basic chords hahaha, this was just a fun song, but I did do it in about a day
Awesome tutorial! Love the way you isolate the chords and left & right hand thru ought the tutorial. You're taking video lessons to a new level. Looking forward to all your vids. Thx
Hey Chris, thank you for your comment. I try to do something a bit more - go a bit further. I would love for the people watching to become more overall musicians than just guitarists.
2:30 can anyone explain this E because he plays the top three strings but has his index finger pressed on the fourth string in the first fret. I even shows that with the blue dots, but he doesn't play the fourth string. Why?
You explain everything very well. I like it. but it's hard for me to understand English language, because I don't know English well. at least I am very good at learning from you. I'm very grateful to you. thank you for video.👍👍 hello from Kazakhstan 🖐🖐
Your videos are the absolute best guitar cover tutorials I've ever found, not just on youtube. Thanks so much for sharing these! Would you consider doing a tutorial on Frank Ocean's "Self Control"? Keep up the amazing work!
I actually tried singing along to it, but since I'm playing it slower, it felt awkward. I'll keep this in mind next time, and maybe play the melody on guitar to make it easier for everyone to follow along with their ear. Thanks for the suggestion!
Can someone pls explain it to me why do you need your second finger on a 4th string when you are playing E chord when you are playing just first second and third string???
this second tutorial is not as good as the first one. you are already assuming we know the cords. you should also explain where to place our fingers like in the first video
Thanks for the tutorial! Some feedback is in the tabs, it would actually be nice to see bars as it's a bit confusing in the timing, also the x's are generally mutes or percussive slap. Nice work overall!
Thank you! Love the way you presented the material. Easy to understand and follow and now I know how to play the entire song. Pretty good considering I am a drummer! ;-)
If you don't put your finger there it's an Em wich is what you kind of play. You can play without the finger in the 3rd string. I know it's a late answer but here you are😂

This is by far the MOST ACCURATE version of how to play Love Yourself online! Thank you!!

Ok
Not gonna lie-I've been playing for a bit now, and this guy has a very good knack for explaining things without being condescending.
part 2 is way harder then part 1
Right..
really like how your videos are of the exact song and very well taught
Thanks!
Bro I love how you speak it so calming ......it's like asmr I swear
I found this both of your lessons on this part simple but exacting...I was never taught this so easily...Loved your tutorial lessons..
Hey Arolle, that's my goal! I am glad I achieved it according to you. How is the learning going on this song so far?
Thanks bro, got that one down pretty quick 👍🏾

@@prehistorictv1995 I'm an absolute beginner and I took 4 days (around 20+ hours to do the first part)

When I saw the first part I thought that we can use it for whole songs but now I got to know that, that video is only for a short part of song.
Really good tutorial.Keep up the good work!
Thanks! I will do my best.
You are the teacher ever thank you so much...

2:30 can anyone explain this E because he plays the top three strings but has his index finger pressed on the fourth string in the first fret. I even shows that with the blue dots, but he doesn't play the fourth string. Why?
Hes basically playing Em but its easier and faster to play E so he does that chord shape since this song is a fast beat song
I think
I learned so much you're the best!
You're welcome! Glad you enjoyed the lesson!
Thank you very much. I rarely find tutorials which are this clear to understand 😊
thank you again. Love the way you teach.

this was really helpful, but it was much easier to learn in the first part when you sung along!

I was just trying to figure this out
best guitar tutorial i have ever seen ever 😂😂
Thank you soooo soo much this is the only tune i learnt completely..😅
this second tutorial is not as good as the first one. you are already assuming we know the cords. you should also explain where to place our fingers like in the first video
Thanks for the feedback. I'll look into doing this more.
I'm finding the second video a lot harder than the first 😔 because of reasons above. The first video was fab.
Yeas same
Don't you want a cup of tea as well?
Well if you're watching the second video, doesn't that mean you already watched the first? Or do you learn a song from finish to start??
Love ur vids!!😍

Can you do one where you sing at the end like your part 1 video? I loved that format!

awesome..thanks for d tutorial & keep posting 😊
8:06 is the playthrough
Legend you are.
So am I laying my first finger down across the strings for C#5 and B5 or am I just pressing down on the A String?
You can just press down on the A string
the e chord had me confused cause he is plucking the 4,5 and 6th strings but the chart has my 1st finger on the 3rd string for what
Chandanie Exactly I have no idea
If you don't put your finger there it's an Em wich is what you kind of play. You can play without the finger in the 3rd string. I know it's a late answer but here you are😂
Part 2 is actually more difficult than part 1😩I barely learnt the first part. Anyway, I'm going to try it.
Yep... these shapes aren't the easiest.
@@Good_Guitarist after almost 1 year I came back to this and wow... Now I see how much I improved over time. You helped me alot

Have you got the slides that you show of the chord/pattern (how many fingers, slap etc..) on a website or doc anywhere?
Hey Good Guitarist! Your lessons are sooooooooo helpful and clear, can you teach us Honey by Kehlani PLZ??????
Is there sheet music for this???
Certain websites spend a lot of money to obtain the rights to publish sheet music. To avoid copyright issues I cannot offer any TABs or sheet music :\
Like your instructional video very much❤️
Very detailed and easy to understand :D
Glad you liked it!!
Great lesson. But it would really help me if I get a written chord chart with the lyrics to play along to. If you can, please provide me with this.
Anyone can help whats the a5 at the strumming part please
I am having problems With C#5 And b5. is there some other cords i can use?
MrYt Kriss nahhh C#5 and B5 is easy once you get the hang of it

I randomly select 1 fan request every month, on the last Friday of the month. I'll put this song in the hat and we'll see if luck is on your side :)
Thxs
What about the last part!!! Do that please!!!
I don’t know if you’ll still respond but how did u set up your amp to get that sound for this song
At this point, I don't actually remember. But the most important part of the tone is a semi-hollow electric guitar.
Good Guitarist okay thankssss
is there any printed material ???
do you guys have a tab for this?
The same notes are for the aciustic guitar too, right?
Yes, this song works exactly the same on acoustic guitar (That's actually how Justin plays it live, I believe).
Good Guitarist ok thank you so much
im having trouble muting/ making the e chord shorter on the second part. any tips?
Since it has open strings, you'd can't rely on "letting the pressure off."
There are 3 things going on with muting/shortening open chords:
- Letting off the pressure
- "collapsing" your fingers so they cover the open strings
- using the palm of your picking hand to mute the strings on the other end
Just work out each of those, 1 at a time, and when you feel ready try to do them all at once.
Hope it all works out! Good luck!
which guitar u have sir
That's an Epiphone Dot, they are pretty inexpensive
201
Am I missing some thing? Why is he not playing the 3 string on the E chord? If so why am I holding it down?
can you play this song with an acoustic guitar
Man... Can you please elaborate that How we can easily understand E7 or E#7 or E... I mean i didn't understand how to learn this thing from all video..
WHY DONT U SING IT THIS TIMEEEE
Once was enough.
if you sing it, we can know when to play what notes when we sing, cause sometimes you know how to play the song on your guitar, but you don't know how to sing with it.
Yeah
Yeah
Yeah

could you do fetty wap Again ?
what kind of guitar is this?
That's an Epiphone Dot

can we use E minor instead of E major
