Honestly the AWE is a decent exhaust if you’re running stock everything else, it’s definitely good for someone who just wants a little of spice if they daily drive it and don’t want something too loud. However UEL headers are the cherry on top, love it! Can’t wait for the birthday cruise vlogs! Love the video as always!
I have the AWE Touring on my WRX with a Grimmspeed Gesi Jipe. The exhaust is well engineered to get rid of certain frequencies according to them. It really takes the rasp out and just leaves the deep tones. I highly recommend.

Idk how it works on the brz but on the sti per Awe the touring doesn’t have mufflers is has two resonators in the back. They said the track and touring are both strait through, the touring just has extra resonators to catch the drony frequencies. I guess they don’t consider them mufflers because they don’t have any packing inside of them to muffle the sound.

So the way a defouler keeps your CEL from coming on is just holding it out of direct exhaust flow so it reads roughly the same as with a cat obstructing the flow. Every Subaru snob will tell you that you need a tune for catless headers but it’s not enough of a change to matter, especially on the na cars

The rumble Is great however I'd personally want it little quieter. For a daily that would empty my bank account with defect notices and also headaches due to the loudness.

The touring on my Sti is loud as hell if I’m not careful lol stock downpipe and all. Easily louder than a fa20 with muffler deletes.

he had a tomei(single-exit) on his wrx setup but most go with the awe track(quad tip) exhaust too the sound and looks factor into whatever you prefer

So the new ECU hasn’t been cracked yet, but a O2 spacer will let you run the pipes without having to even flash the ECU?
