The great thing about this method is that you don't need any digital painting skills to achieve the stylized look. let A.I do its magic!
If we let AI do everything, then we don't need even to exist 😂. What is the use of showing something that has not be made with your skills or at least some of your effort? I like technology so much, but I think that the human skills should always be there to consider a creation as ART. That's my humble opinion

You mis-categorized the video by saying Ebsynth is a AI tool of sorts. Hopefully you did the research before hand or after this video being created and know now. Either way I do love what Ebsynth can do for us content creators who dig deep enough to use it to its full potential. Nice tut on it all.

Thanks for sharing your process! I think this has a lot of potential to grow. Using the Prequel App is a huge help, initially I thought I would need to redraw everything from scratch but this would save a ton of time. All I would do is go in an fix some of the details on the face, especially the eyes for the mid to wide shows.
Your result still won't get anywhere close to real animation or won't ever look as good as the show arcane. So looking at this professionally it's not usable, but i guess you can use it as a filter for videos on Snapchat or something I guess.
You know what I like about you? You listened to your viewers. I saw when you began adding voice to your tutorials. In all honesty, I don't think a video without a voice is a REAL tutorial. It's just a WATCH ME DO THIS COOL STUFF. Nice

I agree this is a filter, but I can see using this as a quick way to animate a video you soot of your own. I’m think this would allow me to film myself then paint over me with one of my game characters for my visual novel/game. I shall have Tp test this out when I get time. Thanks!

While this is cool and all I still don't like this method I'd rather endure a long process than using A.I drawing it all traditionally or digitally and inking, coloring it feels more rewarding for me. Using this process for "fun" I can definitely get behind it, the cel shading looks pretty legit and cool to look at

Lower your frame rate to say 15 fps and this will look much less like a video filter. Also, I wonder if adding some noise (or a noise displacement filter) would help add a more hand drawn feel? Good start though. 🙂

It's a really cool filter, but i wouldn't use this as a portfolio when trying to apply in the industry.
This was a great video but I found one very brief part the most amazing. At around 1:00 you mention the style reference frame can be painted on to the character. It looks like by doing that you can effectively CGI the character into a totally different character. Is that true?

This is helpful video i learn a lot and you suggested an app that's a great app I think are going smooth but my cartoon video result is not good 'EbSynth' Cannot convert well to cartoon,
I think there's a cartoon plugins in FCPX that can do this type of work and no AI needed. Haven't tried it so probably the AI is better.

Correct me I am wrong but the key frame part seems a very hard working part if you are not doing a continuos scene like in the video, you have to "Prequel" each time the camera changes, for example, ia a dialogue of 1min you have to "prequel" many times, right? and the Prequel App is pay-for-use, do you have any alternative for it?
