In Japan your blood type is treated the same as a zodiac sign, as in it's supposed to be indicative of your personality and what kinds of people you do and don't get along with.
This is way off topic but in Animal Crossing New Leaf, once you unlock the island area (which happens pretty early) you can go there to tan your character; if you reach a point where you're at the skin tone you want and don't want to go darker you need to pull out an umbrella. Over time your character will start to pale again so it takes some management now and then, and it's ridiculous this is something you have to manage like this at all, but it is doable. (Also theres so many Asian people with naturally darker skin tones than what Model Debut has options for, even if this game was never supposed to release outside of Japan this is such blatant colorism 😬)

I'm considering buying fashion dreamer it seems like something I'd like as my main favorite thing about dressing up is quite simply dressing up. Any thoughts? ❤
@@darkwebgirl I think if you're willing to pay $35 (currently on sale but normally $50) for that experience, then sure. Imo games like Dress to Impress, the Nikki mobile games, or any old flash dress up game can scratch that itch for free
The Lack of skin tones is a major deal breaker (Dark skin blerd Girlie ). But if you do get to Japanese only games PLEASE PLEASE TALK ABOUT PRIPARA AND ITS PRECURSOR PRETTY RHYTHM AURORA DREAM! UGH I wish they and Aikatsu came to America!
I think it'd be amazing if SS:FF came to the switch as a remaster. I love the alternative styles and I don't think Model Debut 3 has those which makes me sad.
Style savvy has SO much variety in what you can do as well. I’ve technically finished the game (saw the credits after the fashion show) and I’m still doing so much within the game
If you do start playing japan exclusive games I'd love to see you talk about magician's quest! The first game got an American release on the ds but all the later entries are JP exclusive. It's basically animal crossing meets magic & it's so adorable
Honestly its such a shame that the english translation is so EXTREMILY expensive, even though i love the japanese versions i would have loved to play the english one too but cant justify dropping up to 200€ on a single ds game

12 minutes into this video and you convinced me get this game (didn't need a lot of convincing) I'm soooo excited to try it out cuz after the initial hype of fashion dreamer died down I saw it for what it really was, an incredibly shallow game with very limited things to do! I still play it to this day, but every time I do, I always say something like, "I wish they added this or that," and I remember very rarely thinking that when playing the past style savvy games. so i'm excited to see what this game has to offer ❤
i never heard of the series until 3, i bought the japanese version thinking there was no way it would release in english since none of the others were, behold my surprise (and irritation) that they would release it in English a year later. also on the topic of skintones, there asre JAPANESE people with deeper skintones as well, so its alwasy wild to me that these games never include darker skintones. i know its because of the "beauty standard" but like darker skintoned japanese people exist so even if the game wasnt going to release outside of japan theyre stil alienating people. does anyone know if the game ends on year 3 or can you keep playing?
I actually did hear about this game, surprisingly. But I only ever knew the name, so it's great to learn about the actual game. Can't wait for the new Nikki!🙏

I agree with you cons about the game! I wish I had this review before I brought it because I regret it lol. I also think the translations are stilted and awkward. There's a lot of fluff like why do we need the same photoshoot cut everytime with no skip option? Everything felt limited from the text box limit to the dialog options. No matter what option you choose, it's the same response from the characters every time. lol

@oijosuke4780 Personally I use an R4 card, there's tons of videos out there that can help you with getting the translated ds game
