The pastry called "Kifli" was actually "Pozsonyi kifli" which is usually filled with walnut or with poppy seeds. The simple kifli is a salty pastry.

"Cake of Budapest" or rather "Cake of the Country" is year by year different. There is a pastry chef contest on the 20th of August every year where the bests are chosen (normal and sugar-free). They try to invent new combinations or try to reinvent another cake or sweet dish in a form of a torte. Lately, they have 2 contests for a normal and for a sugar-free version. The recipes will be distributed in the country and usually, you can find them after a few months at every confectionery. Fortunately, the more popular ones from the previous years are also available at bigger confectionery shops.
