Derdian - The Hunter

There is already a great deal of hype around the release of Derdian's new album. Their fan base of over 80,000 worldwide is eager to hear the second chapter in the Derdian saga. All Access Magazine has compared them to bands like Dragon Force and for fans of metal this means great music.
When Derdian formed in 1998, they didn't know that their thrash metal cover band would become a platform for creating a mythological world filled with heroes and villains. Their first album New Era Part I released in 2005 was met with great success in the band's native Italy as well as the rest of Europe. The "New Era" was only the first installment in a series of albums which will show the unfolding of events surrounding the people of Derdian, a legendary fortress.
A great war was brought against the people of Derdian by a warlord named Troghlor and his dark army forged in a pact with Mohzer god of darkness and obscurity. Once in control of Derdian, Troghlor began a hostile campaign against all neighboring lands. During one of his campaigns most of his army is slaughtered on the field of battle leaving Trouglor to return to his kingdom with a fraction of his once great military force. With him returned one of his commanders, Golstar. And Part II begins...
"New Era Part II" is the next installment in the Derdian saga. The album begins with Troghlor addressing his people. A new war is stirring and Troghlor is hungry for greater power. Golstar, begins planning a rebellion against his tyrant master as he finds that his heart is good. Troghlor finds out that Golstar may be planning a rebellion and is angered by Golstar's treachery. To exact his punishment on Golstar, Troghlor sends his minions to abduct Lady Loren, wife of Golstar, and has her murdered. Golstar vows revenge against Troghlor and mounts an attack on Castle Derdian and the war of the gods has begun.
