Just found your channel and now binge watching. Dale, your research is fantastic! One other factoid about Bass Reeves. One of his sons murdered his wife and Reeves demanded the responsibility of bringing him in for justice. The son was tried and convicted and served his time at Fort Leavenworth, I believe.
Because of all the bad jokes about Uranus the astronomical union decided to rename the planet - its called Urectum now :)
Hahahaha!
Dude, you rock!! Having spent half a lifetime listening to how deadly Australia's critters are, that one tops my list.
I liked the facts about the stomach, volcano pollution and bubble algae the most.
You did a good job here!
I'm looking forward to more videos this summer :)
+Think Fact
I've gotta say this is the best video of yours I've seen. Not because of the content, but because you're starting to inject humor - you're not taking yourself too seriously. (I don't know what it is, but your narration has always been hard for me to listen to - it's like you always sound like you're being sarcastic, but you're actually being super sincere.)
Your narration is improving.
Great to see you, Dale! I just wanted to tell you that I love these 10 interesting facts videos! Keep 'em coming! :)
Christine Crawford
Thanks for taking the time to watch! They take quite some time to produce, that's because I didn't want to make sure the videos are as high of a quality as I can produce. I consider them a little treat!
I really liked the wild mustard fact, it's kind of a boring one but I really liked it, I don't why but I'm always interested in things about modified species/genetics of things.
Keep up the great work Dale :)
Hey Dale! I just started watching about two hours ago and I have to say.... You have my mind blown!!! All of your videos are just so amazing!! I enjoy people like you.... You're an inspiration!! You just earned yourself a new subscriber and a #1 fan! Thank you for sharing this information with us... Don't know how knowledge would be without people like you....
You're friend,
Tony
so I asked my parents if they know fact 1, and they said they know, because in Russian Broccoli's full name is Broccoli Cabbage. I didn't know that so I guess I got a bonus fact and anyone reading this also got one!
Man! This must be one of the best videos you've done! Super!
Very great video! Your videos just keep getting, more and more interesting! And congratulations on passing 50k subscribers! As for the comment question, my favorite fact was about Bass Reeves. Since I lived in Michigan for a pretty long time, I once had to look up obscure Michigainian facts as homework (I don't know why, it was like my teachers tried to teach Michigainian exceptionalism to us) in fifth grade. I started to look up the Lone Ranger, how it started in Detroit, and one thing lead to another, and soon I turned in research about Bass Reeves. It was really neat to see it on this list, and it acted as, sort of, a refresher.
Urbfilms
Thank you Urb,
I definitely thought it was one of the more interesting facts, more so for American history lovers and radio and movie buffs. His story is definitely underappreciated!
Thanks for taking the time to watch, it's always nice to hear from you!
Hi Dale, just discovered your channel! Love it!
I knew the Neptune fact, but the other ones were really interesting, especially the last one. To think that my stomach has more neurons than a cat...
Great video!
I'm sorry but I'm an Oregonian and it's a pet-peeve of mine when someone pronounces Oregon wrong xD It's Oregon (O-reh-gen) not (O-ree-gone). Simply think of a wagon, it's pronounced (wah-gen) not (wah-gone). 9:03
Awesome video though! Mind blown!
Addison M I thought the same thing... & I'm a Texan.
I was so pleasently suprised to see you back in my sub box, it hopefully won't take too long before most of your subs become active again and youtube starts promoting your videos again
I am still confused by the great brittain one, clearly great brittain hasn't invaded south sudan yet because its so young and it would've pissed of the UN alot, but maybe they just support GB's world record for most countries invaded. Or GB launched an invasion of health-care workers or something
Anyways welcome back Dale, and what a great way to make your return
Sofian Kluft
I'm really happy to be back! IFTANKs tend to draw in a lot of people and I have been wanting to make one of these for a while now so hopefully by remaining consistent I can build off of this video.
Great point! The British Empire and later Britain itself not only invaded countries, but territories as well. And trust me, I make sure I said territory for this reason. Though the country of south Sudan itself has not been invaded by the British, the territory has and at a point in history was one of their colonies. So even though there are newer countries today, most of them are carved out of territory the British at some point invaded or occupied. If that makes sense.
It's always nice to hear from you, thank you!
This is quickly becoming my favorite subscription. Keep it up, Dale!
+Vander Cecil
I appreciate it, though I make a wide variety of videos I'm happy that people like my IFTANK series. I hope to see you around!
"Verrier" (Verr-ee-ay). My favourites were bubble algae and the '2nd brain' (the latter of which puts a whole new spin on 'going with your gut', or 'intuition').
Just binge-watched 3 episodes.... LOVE IT!!
I really like this series. You find some really obscure and interesting facts and put them in appropiate context. Awesome job. Quality over quantitty pays off.
Awesome facts, Dale!
Loving the videos, wish you could make them more often, Been a subscriber way back when it was in the third digit. Hoping it keeps growing so that you make more videos!
Greets from India
-Corruption
Corruption13
Awesome, I'm happy to hear!
That's a really long time! Holy smokes, I can say that I plan on hopefully making videos more consistently for the next few months!
Thanks for the support my friend, and I would love to go to India one day! Mostly because I love good food, good spicy food. ;)
Take care!
Dale, Amazing! Fascinating!! Unique!!! Just found you on RUclips tonight and really had a great time watching your work. Yes, I indeed learned much and look forward to learning more.
Ah, Dale.
I really do love your channel.
You have great educational content and you present it in such a fun and entertaining way.
I only love educational channels more than animation channels and ive got to say you men of knowledge really give back so much to the community with your videos alone.
Its fantastic to see so many educational channels growing and thriving.
Keep up the great work, prosperity awaits you.
David Taylor
Thanks David!
I really enjoy trying to find different ways of presenting my information, and I love experimenting with the way I make my videos in order to better achieve that! So I'm really happy to hear you enjoy it!
Right now the RUclips educational communities are experiencing a mini "Golden age." A handful of them have experienced extremely fast growth and their success as a lot for the suggestion of other videos from other educational utilities. Now grant it, it's definitely not at the same scale as the videogame community but the same principles apply! I got a really fortunate making this channel when I did because I just managed to tap into the success and growth of that community without realizing it until much later on. Haha
I appreciate your comments and thank you very much! I just need to make sure I can stay committed, that seems to be the biggest factor for success on RUclips!
yeah, youre right about this being the golden age for educational channel growth but it really is a shame how miniscule it is compared to the gaming channels.
I only wish educational videos got half as much attention as lets plays.
oh well, ill still always support you and this educational community.
I really do hope you continue to stay dedicated because dedication is always a huge factor in success.
even though it could take a very very long time for the success you deserve to come to you I think its much more satisfying that way.
plus we all love watching your videos and would miss your great content!
you cant let your fans down after all!
you have our support, dale
you may not see this since I havent had a chance to reply and my phone wont let me tag you for what ever reason but I hope you do see this so you know we have your back
have a nice day
That fact about the parrotlets is probably the best thing I've heard all week.
Hannah Cooper
They're the smallest parrots in North America as well, so they're unbelievably adorable. Smart and cute, that's my kind of animal! haha
Thanks! I enjoyed all the facts. But especially like the one about neptune. I had been trying to explain to my friend that there are clues that planets are out there even before we see the planet. Looking forward to more of your videos!
Bubble algae!
Bubble algae wad the most interesting for me.
I was wonderint what your sources were but then I saw you provide them in the description section. Bravo sir- a free thinking skeptic you most certainly are.
BMTroubleU
Bubble algae definitely surprised me when I learned about it. I had absolutely no idea single celled organism could even grow to a size where you can see it with the naked eye, so this really blew my mind. Haha
I always feel sources are important add, so I'm happy you took notice!
Thanks for the comment and have a good one!
love this series, and like you said, unique to your channel. Good on you.
Thank you for making another video man. I love these so much. Pls dont take so long for your next one! (I assume you're done with college for now)
Skiimore
Thank you for taking the time to watch! It takes a lot of time and preparation to make an IFTANK, but I do plan on making my normal type of videos more frequently this summer! :)
Still one of my very favorite channels. Always interesting and informative. Keep up the great work.
Volcanic pollution fact and Neptune joke definite highlights for me! Great video, yet again!
ainepocket
Happy to hear, those two were pretty interesting when I learned about them!
Thanks for taking the time to watch! I appreciate it. Have a good one!
Definitely the stomach one. I have ulcers and if I don't have food in my stomach and I'm slightly hungry I get really grouchy and sometimes can't focus. Love your videos and hope you get really big one day :)
Rodrigo Ortiz
If you're more interested in it, please feel free to check out the description and look at the websites that go into more detail over it!
Oh man, that must be rough. My father has one as well but his is probably due to the fact that he eats too much. haha. He's probably going to see this comment too.
Thank you very much for taking the time to support my channel! If it does become big and successful, it will be because of dedicated viewers like you! And it means the world to me!
Have a good one!
I watched like eight videos and didn't think about subbing until 9:50 when I died laughing.
I always look forward to your uploads, thanks for yet another excellent video!
SonofAxman
I'm really happy to hear, that means a lot to me!
Thank you for taking the time to watch! Take care. :)
As a person recovering from anorexia and dealing with depression, I find the stomach fact incredibly intriguing and plan on learning as much as I can! Thank you.
i love finding out useless info!..then harassing my friends and family with it!
.........they think im smart lol!
Love your series, you really are hitting it with the little-known part and that is awesome. You hit a tender spot with me in #1 in this one though... Kohlrabi is not pronounced "Collar-Robby", even though it is a very common mistake! It is pronounced "Cole-Robby". Kohl is German for cabbage and rabi is German for turnip.
DALE! Shush! You're ruining Australias Danger hype! -.- We've spent a long time building up our reputation >
Peter Slivka
Haha, are the horses making you say that? Wink twice if you are unsafe. Haha
Think Fact
No I'm saying this of my own free will.
*Winks once*
*Gets a hoof to the face*
Nooooo, Peter!!!
*Hoarse reply*
All is fine fellow human.
Neigh'vermind previous comment.

I vote you as one of the most improved RUclipsrs of 2015. Keep up the great work!
Daxxon Jabiru
This is a thing? Thank you. I don't recall ever knowing about of such a thing.
Thanks for watching, I appreciate the comment and the support!
If there is not, then there should be---and you are most welcome, young squire...
The I.Q. of my stomach is zero up until I listen to you. Then I'm full up. I hope you keep doing what you do. You are great!
Hi, Dale! I've missed you, too; and it's nice to see this video. Plus, the humor you inserted into it was great. Welcome back! I hope you aced all of your finals. I'm sure you did, though. Uhh...you DID, right?
"Not a giant grape"
onorasdrivein
It does look like it could pass off as a grape, haha :D
onorasdrivein
Makes me wonder how bad that thing would taste. haha
brickman409
I imagine they must be in some cuisine somewhere, being that there is a very sizable population in the Caribbean that will could potentially be the best place to look! Haha
I watch a lot of these fact countdown videos, I listen to them at work. But I think IFTANK is the real deal. The truest deal. Not only do I not know these things, but I find them interesting. But how long can he keep this up?
Great video! but have some doubts about the number 8 since we have never been taught about any kind of British Invasion of my country (Algeria) in history class. It will give me some searching to do. Great job on all your videos by the way :)
Enjoyed this episode! Keep it up, I'm sure you're audience will continue to grow with persistence!
I really love this channel. So many would benefit from so much of this information. Keep going kid!
"a wobble in Uranus" i laughed so hard my ice cream came out of my nose. hahaha!
Finally, another one! Keep the amazing videos coming!
Doom Fury
Thanks for taking the time to watch, and you can count on it!
Koala ninjas are the most dangerous animal in Australia, but nobody knows this because they are so sneaky...
Great video Dale! Very captivating and enjoyable
Shrek Salad
Happy to hear, thanks for taking the time to watch!
keep it up man! love the vids! 😀
Binette48
You can count on it, and I appreciate it thank you! There'll be plenty more to come!
no problem! 👍
I can't believe any of this. It's so incredible. Especially the part about Uranus, it's fascinating to think that math can get us that far.
Fascinating, funny and focused are the first words that spring to mind when watching this brilliant video. You have managed to amaze, enthral and entertain us once again. I found all the facts interesting but the Neptune one was certainly the funniest.
Potato Cult
Haha, does of this potato cult have anything to do with my previous Google hangouts? By chance? Haha
I'm happy to hear! In more recent times my videos are taken a much more serious tone, so it's always nice to kick back and add a bit of humor with these videos.
Happy to hear you enjoyed it, thank you for the comment!
My favorite was Neptune being discovered within an hour of searching. That is some really good math.
BamaFanEdge
The Germans have always taken science so seriously! haha
And yes, that's why I take mathematicians seriously today! ;)
The content really fits the title! I really didn't know many of these facts and they are both surprising and interesting. This is also some good stuff for at a party ;)
I like the one about England, and the one about the lone ranger the most. Keep it up man I really enjoy your videos
i never expected that norway was invaded by britain at some point, loved the video, keep up the good work! :)
shadowjadewolf
Territory was, it happened during World War I during Nazi occupation. That is at least the most recent one. Thanks for taking the time to watch, I appreciate it!
this video was uploaded on my birthday lol thanks dude....ive finally discovered your vidz an this 1 is the third vid am watching back to back.....and ive learn so much more things in ten minutes than ive learned my entire life..never got the opportunity to grow up with internet or computers because my parent couldnt afford it....sorry for my english tho am from a little island call Trinidad which is like the smallest in the world....looking forward to see more...no waitt "all" of your videos lol keep it up gr8 work
My favorite was the stomach-brain. I wonder, do people with larger stomaches have more neurons in their stomach?
PintoRagazzo
There's also been a lot of research and how those neuron cells are the reason why you feeling butterflies in your stomach when you're nervous. I was going to include that but didn't for a time reasons. It's pretty fascinating though!
And thanks for watching!
I am enjoying a lot your videos. For me the most interesting fact was the stomach "brain".
Alessandro Maiochi
I am very glad to hear, thank you very much!
Again a very good video. I found Nr. 1 the most interresting. I knew of the connection between cauliflower and broccoli but not the other ones.
Keep it up.
dermeistefan
It's definitely crazy thinking how all of those are very different looking plants where in all actuality they are the plants equivalent to the diversity is seen within dogs. Pretty crazy.
Another crazy thing I learned was that broccoli is basically a bunch of premature flowers. All the little things that look like leaves are actually flower buds before they are big enough to bloom.
That was very interesting! Thanks for the comment, have a good one!
Glad you're back!
Elizabeth Wry
Glad to be back, it's been far too long. This is actually the longest time between two videos in almost 2 years.
So my stomach has a mind on its own...I knew it!
I thought I saw a brain in my digestive system
I personally found the bubble algae and the actual most deadly animals in Australia facts to be the most interesting.
Great video! My favourite fact was about the largest single cell organism! I learned about the anatomy of a cell in school not too long ago.
#5 wow!! didn't know about the Lone Ranger connection but there is quite a lot of talk about Bass Reeves here - and we have a 25 foot statue of him and a new U.S. Marshals Museum is slated to be built where I live in Fort Smith
jmarylastone
I almost mentioned that there was a giant statue of him, but I cut it mostly due to time.
That will be a fun little fact you can tell people you know!
Almost every Aussie knows that spiders and snakes aren't much to worry about. We just get a kick out of freaking out tourists.
Daniel Liddicoat
If I recall, if there are any deaths an unproportional amount are tourists.
But it's still pretty fascinating, Australia has some of the most unique and beautiful wildlife on earth.
We just blow it out of proportion to stop people moving over here to live.
Haha
Wobbling Uranus, this joke, made made my day XD
Welcome back! I like the real lone ranger one. Sounds like a cool guy. Also, my stomach does seem to have a mind of its own...always bugging me to eat that tub of ice cream in the freezer...must resist...>.>
Xiao Mei
Happy to be back!
I thought it was pretty cool when I learned about the Lone Ranger! So I definitely had too include it, especially since made the video more involved in other topics.
Stomachs are sassy. That's my when you don't eat, they give you tude. ;)
Take care!
Great video man! Loved the humor!
*****
I'm happy to hear, it's nice to kick back and do a video thats a little more funny from time to time. :)
Drop Bears are Australia's most dangerous animal
Yass
honey badger doesn't give a sit
Wow, this one was great! #10 really explains the nature of my food cravings. I've learned that when I crave a food it's because it has some nutrient that my body needs, that I haven't been getting enough of; this often takes the form of craving a Greek salad for the vinegar and feta cheese (I've never out salt on or in much of my food). Sometimes it's something else but whatever it is there is always a remarkable difference in my overall well being after I consume whatever I'm craving. The problem is that I've never understood how my stomach seems to be able to discern what I need, how does it get to my brain that I need a little more sodium in my diet and therefore I need a Greek salad? So the fact that there's abkind of..."demi-brain" in my stomach makes much more sense out of this conundrum.
Also, it's only recently I learned of Bass Reeves and I immediately thought of how strange it is that I had never heard of this genuine BAMF until a couple months ago. And how in the world has he not had a movie or show about him? Obviously, it's because he's black. I wish I were being ironic. So that bit about the Lone Ranger makes total sense of this little mystery too. They DID make a show inspired by Reeves! They just replaced him with a white guy and POOF! PROBLEM SOLVED!
I have to tell you I love you! It’s awesome seeing someone your age so educated!
Thank you very much for the comment, I really appreciate that!
NO! That's impossible! His stomach IQ is over 9,000!!!!!!!
I have never heard so many puns in a Think Fact video.
BOBlibob
IFTANK allows me to kick back a bit and be a little more comical. My channel has moved on to be rather serious, but I myself balance seriousness with humor in most of my life. :)
Do you watch QI? I've noticed that a lot of the information that you put up is the same, if not expanded upon from QI in your videos.
Just being curious is all.
Also, Hi from Australia :D
Joseph Wagstaff
I do you in fact! It's absolutely hilarious!
I have in the past two got some information from them, but in the case of this video it's a complete coincidence if we have similar information.
Hi from America, and best watch out for those horses. ;)
If your stomach grows smarter the more food you eat, then mine's IQ is over 9000!
more of these please. its nice to watch a video and learn something new,
Jacob Casanto
Definitely!
Normally when it comes that these videos it takes a lot of time to make sure I have good facts. So in the meantime I typically produce more thought oriented videos! I appreciate the support and take care man!
Phenom list!👊🏼 The short list of only 22 countries blows my mind, and (post due diligence) that info is going to the top of my current research into long-term cultural cause & effect of international influences.
just to help teach; there's a episode in YT land that alleges that the original pronunciation of Uranus may have been AWW-rin-oss or AHR-in-uss as in austria or australia and i'm sold.
Intriguing content as always! The vegetable and Australia facts were the ones I found most interesting. May I ask what you're studying in college?
I'm thrilled to have "found" you. I LOVE fun facts whether useful or not. (smile)
I always knew I had a second brain, but I would have placed it slightly lower than my stomach.
Just found your channel and am now bingeing!!! Thanks for all your hard work on these very interesting videos!!! New sub here...
Dale, this video was awesome!!! The best iftank so far! My personal favorite fact was the real life Lone Ranger. I absolutely agree with you that a movie about Bass Reeves would be infinitely better. I wonder if there is any reading material I might find on him? My hubby liked the British Empire fact the best...they really got after it, didn't they? Thanks for always putting up such quality content! I hope your finals didn't suck too bad...have any fun plans for the summer? Can't wait for the next vid. Have a good one! :)
SA S
Thank you, I really appreciate it!
This is definitely the most labor-intensive iftank so far, haha.
If they do make another Lone Ranger movie, it would be really fascinating if they took the time to base it after Reeves! Taking a whole new spin on the franchise!
The British Empire definitely was definitely impressive, it's hard to believe that little Island nation became so influential and powerful!
Thank you for taking the time to watch! My finals actually went very well! My summer plans were mostly consisted of hiking, maybe a little bit of traveling around my state, and RUclips. Haha
Hopefully I can start producing videos more frequently this summer! Take care, and it's always nice to hear from you guys!
This series is fantastic. Thanks 🎉
Dolphins also give names through unique whistles. Some researchers have even thought to look for 'family names' among groups of dolphins.
Oh I actually knew two of these!
I so enjoy your videos. I actually found all of these surprising.
Brings a whole new meaning to the saying, 'he/she thinks with their stomach' , doesn't it ?
I didn't know any of these facts well done
James Clifton
Glad to hear! I put a lot of time into finding these facts so I'm pleased to hear that I did a good job! ;)
Thanks for taking the time to watch!
great videos mate, keep 'em coming
Him: John Adams -
Me, A big pile of Hamiltrash: That can't be... that's that little guy who spoke to me...
Thank you Dale, great video :)
Nalin Khurb
Thank you for taking the time to watch, I appreciate it!
i thought the 3rd fact about the Green-rumped parrotlets using names was the most intresting
I forgot about the one about Neptune for a second but damn that was really cool to learn and I liked the jokes
Nepal was never ruled by the British either.
Now that's what I call facts you didn't know! My favourite was the biggest single cell organism.
I flew in military passenger craft in the 50's and 60's where the seats did face backwards for the reason you stated. It WAS very odd, especially at take off when inertia pushed you forward - away from the seat.
Im glad your back
I love History!
Glad to be back!
The stomach fact and the great britain fact were freakin amazing
