    Congratulations to Altuve on hitting for the cycle. I was surprised he hadn't done it before but I'm glad he finally did it. That home run to complete the cycle was crushed, over the Green Monster and it looked like it almost went out of Fenway. Definitely my favorite Astro of all time and he keeps on having one of the best seasons of his career.

      He wasn't scapegoated, that whole team is culpable. And nobody who rooted for a contending team either of those two seasons is going to be quick to forgive them, so people who support the Astros will need to keep saying it until all those players have left the game.

    • @ktcarl
      @ktcarl Год назад +13

      @@liamhome1664 The Astros weren't the only MLB team doing the "cheating". Cora promoted it when he was with the Astros and he was sanctioning the Red Sox to doing it when he became their Manager. Altuve never cheated. Bregman did and the Dodgers have welcomed Marisnick and Gonzalez to the Dodgers and those two players cheated. The MLB players belly aching about it are giant hypocrites. It's only the ignorant fans that are hurt the most. The Astros were awesome in 2017 and were predicted by Sports Illustrated to win the WS in 2017. Get over it.

    • @ByGraceThroughFaith777
      @ByGraceThroughFaith777 Год назад +8

      @@liamhome1664 lol yeah but you had to comment too, didn't ya? Altuve (as a player) was scapegoated cuz he was the face of the team, and the media blew up the fake buzzer story after the walkoff against NYY, with no evidence whatsover. Later the statistics and the testimonies of the players proved that Altuve was always against using any system, and he never used it himself, but none of the accusers ever appologized to the guy, to this day. Same deal with Bregman. That's why they never owned the cheating guilt and never felt like they needed to say sorry to the fans or anyone else when the team pointed the cameras at them, cuz they didn't partake in the scandal. Only a few players used it, and the league was covering up for the White Sox, Yankees, and Boston.

  • @i-churchcafe9136
    @i-churchcafe9136 Год назад +14

    Per Robert Ford and Steve Sparks on Astro's Radio:
    Jeremy Pena said " I walked up to Altuve and poked him, and I said, ' so ,you saw I got 5 hits?'. And Altuve smiled and poked me back and said, "I got 2000"
    I am sure Altuve went straight to Pena after hitting the cycle.

    Jose Altuve is 33 years old, listed at 5'6" and 166 pounds. This year, as of Monday August 28, he has played in only 62 games this season and is hitting for an average of .322 with an OnBasePercentage of .415 and and OPS of.944
    Early in his career, Jose Altuve could drive the ball to all fields and then wreak havoc on the bases with his legs. As the years and accolades piled up, Altuve became more of a pull hitter who developed serious power. So it was only a matter of time before he was able to pull all his tools together for one unforgettable night.
    Only two weeks after becoming the third Astros player in history to reach 2,000 career hits, Altuve recorded the franchise’s first cycle -- a single, double, triple and home run in the same game -- in 10 years in Houston’s 13-5 win over the Red Sox at Fenway Park.

    My initial thoughts on the triple was the center fielder played it terribly. Went back and watched in slow motion. Maybe you give the center fielder a break as he could have been thinking leaping catch at the wall, but it still hit 15 feet up. You have to know your own ball park better than that. Playing for the bounce off the wall might keep Altuve at a double. Fortunately, I’m an Astros fan so no complaints here.

    People will continuously insult altuve, if you expect them to stop you have a childish mindset. Yes its getting old but thats just what baseball fans do

      Well you may be right, but it doesn't make it right. I am very realistic, I don't expect them to stop ,mainly because of all the Knuckleheads out there. I will say as long as these haters continue to show hate, God will continue to show the haters who is boss. Haters will never win. That is the greatest part. God will indeed take care of the good, hence Altuve, the Astros and the fans

      @@rosettaokabayashi2030 I would be first to tell you it isnt right. But its just wishful thinking to expect people to stop bringing up the past

      @@EggClimDumbo1282 You may be right for some people. I don't care if they bring it up or not. And that is because they seem to always get egg on their face when the Astros and Altuve continue to show all the haters their talent. I feel a lot of it is pride and jealousy. Most of them just can't except when their team loses so they use the cheating to compensate instead of accepting what's right in front of their face. To proud to admit it. That's the elephant in the room
