I'm new to doing tutorials, so please let me know how I can make these better/more helpful for you! More talking? Less talking? Show the sheet music differently? Just lemme know :)
Hey great vid! Maybe add a section with you playing just the trumpet part (no soundtrack) but the whole way through (no pausing between sections of sheet music)? And maybe add timestamps for the different parts (walkthrough/trumpet run through/run through with soundtrack). Just a couple thoughts, but great vid!
Thanks! I had time stamps at the beginning of this vid. Is that what you mean, or something different?
@@thetrumpetman Yeah I didn't even see those tbh!! I was also thinking a clickable link in the description would be nice to make it easy to return back as you practice. (Also, on some channels it adds a section title on the timeline when you do that. Like Philip DeFranco)
Try getting better at everything including trumpet playing
Everything was great. For the last bit in the tutorial you should have moved the sheet music up just a little because youtubes video bar is so annoying.
I haven’t picked up my horn in almost 10 years now, this made me smile and made me want to start to play again. Thank you, i will be coming back for more videos 🤘🏼
Glad to hear it :) Best of luck in starting to play again!
I Also like the whole tutorial thing. I'm playing for almost 30 years now. I'm so happy someone put some populair music on RUclips with sheets so everyone can play the songs. Because it's not tot difficult (for me) it's very Nice tot play without study for to long. I hope you Will do this for more of you songs.
Thank you! Wow, good for you for playing 30 years! I'm hoping to do more in the future. It seems like so far people really like the tutorials.
Woah. I’ve been playing since December 2020
I’ve been for 6 years
I love your playing! Ive been playing for about 2.5 years and I watch all your star wars covers, you're very talented!

Congratulations to The Trumpet Man for hitting over 5 MILLION views on his RUclips channel!
In a few hours I'm getting my Bb trumpet back from a repair and maintenance shop after 10 years of disuse. This is what I'll be playing tonight!
Great!!!
I like 3 lines (most or all the song) in one frame the best for mesmerizing.
Awesome! I love John Williams!
Thank you! Yea, John Williams is great!
Thanks for making this available. I've started learning the trumpet a year ago and this song is one that I've always wanted to play. Awesome tutorial and beautifully played.

Hey dude! You seem really cool! I’ve been watching your videos a lot recently, I’m new to learning trumpet you see. I’m in 9th grade and currently play 7 instruments, and I’ve decided to take up trumpet as well! Your videos are really a big help! Keep it up! -Goose
Thanks a lot! Wow, 7 instruments? Good for you! I see you have good taste since you're taking up trumpet now ;)
Nice tutorial Trumpet Man! Should be fun to play this when I practice, I loved the end play through as well, sounds amazing!
Thanks!! May the force be with you.

You're welcome! I'm glad your son will be able to play it!
It's great thank you !
I'm glad you found it helpful! :D
As a trumpet player myself I love to listen to you for ideas on what to play on my trumpet currently I am playing a Whole New World from Aladdin and I am loving it! I have only been playing the trumpet for about 3-4 years now and I am getting better! Have you got any ideas of good Disney songs I could play?? Also, can you do a tutorial on how to play I just can't wait to be king from the Lion King! Thank you,
Younger Mahesan
Hi! It's great you're getting better! I don't know if I'll do a tutorial on that song quite yet. There's so many good Disney songs, though. Hard to pick just one lol. I think "Reflection" and "Tale As Old As Time" are good ones. But there's so many. You could maybe think about buying one of the Disney play-along books off of Amazon. I've used them for several of my videos before.
Grazie di avermi fornito lo spartito e il tutorial di una delle mie canzoni preferite
Che la forza sia con te
May the force be with you
You're welcome! May the force be with you as well.
This is probably going to give me the motivation to practice the trumpet now that I graduated high school and college is not going to pay for it self
Aye, good luck with college!!!!

You're welcome! May the force be with you as well.
lmao a little too good. that was cool!
lol thanks. I didn't know something could be too good xD
@@thetrumpetman well it was like overly cool and neat xD i mean the impression you make to a nonmusician when you pull a trumpet out, and then bringing it home with this one its too funny and fun. i was like not expecting that! especially when the dynamics kicked in
Hi ! Thanks for the beautiful video. Where I can find de soundtrack you use (without the trumpet) to practice with my trumpet ? 😊
Thanks! The soundtrack I used without the trumpet is here: ruclips.net/video/mJ40fugIbgQ/видео.html It starts partway throught it :)
This is sooo goooood!!!!
Thank youuuu!
Nice job holding the end note lol
lol ty
You're absolutely a Music Master. Me, I'm just a humble vioin Padawan. The Force is strong in your Trumpet. Great performance. I'm deeply grateful. Tell me: would it be threading through the Dark Side if I asked you where did you get the instrumental track which you used to play over? Thanks :D
lol I shall enlighten you oh humble violin Padawan. Here is the instrumental track I played over: ruclips.net/video/mJ40fugIbgQ/видео.html It starts around the 1:19 mark.
@@thetrumpetman Much appreciated, Master. May the Chords be with you. Always.
Thanks man this helped out alot. And I was wondering what mouthpiece did you use in this video
You're welcome! I used a Bach 3C Megatone mouthpiece in this video.
@@thetrumpetman thank you.
He is awesome
Thank you :D
@@thetrumpetman can you do the clone wars main tiddle
3:35 for song
Thanks to you I was inspired to buy a trumpet and play again, I'm 43 last time I played I was 12, do you have somewhere I can buy the sheet music off ya?
Great! I love to hear it! I made the sheet music for this particular one available for free: drive.google.com/file/d/1wcxIdy18A8Z9EY0d2ThD53yADdCJeqf2/view
This was awesome as always thank you again. Also can I make a request for a song for you to play
Thanks! You can make a request :) I've still barely managed to do any of the requests I got at the beginning of the year.....but you can always at least mention something lol
@@thetrumpetman I was thinking that you could play the assassin's creed black flag theme. It's a really cool one but I can't find any sheet music for it
Maravilha 🙏🙏🙏🙏
My band director told me not to blow air into my trumpet while having your cheeks puffed but either way awesome tutorial and play however suits you
Thank you :)
Where can i get this sheet music
Here: drive.google.com/file/d/1wcxIdy18A8Z9EY0d2ThD53yADdCJeqf2/view
portugal love
Is it just me or does he speed up when the dynamic is higher and slows when it’s lower
This video is useful. Could you post the backing track you used it would be really helpful thanks
ruclips.net/video/mJ40fugIbgQ/видео.html It starts at the 1:19 mark
Thanks
Hey what do you search or what website do you get these sheets of music becasue I dont really have much money right now purchase anything and you did amazing I have only been playing for 3 years this is my 4th
For this one, I made the sheet music myself :) Typically I either learn a song by ear or I use sheet music I find through a google search or a book on amazon.
@@thetrumpetman oh then you did an amazing job on making it then I have been trying to make my own music but I dont what to make
@@ethanmayes614 Thanks! Have you tried Musescore? It's a program you can use to make sheet music. Im pretty sure it's free.
@@thetrumpetmanI have been on the website to look at music but I didnt know I could make music on it I will have to try it
Hi man thanks for the sheet music! By any chance do you have the back track you used to play along with?
You're welcome! I found the backing track here: ruclips.net/video/mJ40fugIbgQ/видео.html I think the theme starts around 1:19
instead of A minor (D minor var) try C minor (Talking in trumpet pitch ofc)
I just went with the key the original soundtrack was in :)
Exelente
Thanks :)
Imma learn the high version. Thing is. Im on the french horn so its hard
Good luck :)
Were can I have the full partition?

With no trumpet experience, how long would you estimate to be able to learn this? First I'd imagine you gotta learn the scale.
Hmm, that's a hard question lol. If you want to play it in the original key like this one, maybe about two years? Learning the scale does make it easier.
Are you playing like a Trumpet in d because those notes do not match my trumpet in b flat
I'm playing a trumpet in Bb. I don't know why your trumpet doesn't match those notes.
What is the tempo speed for this song please and thank you...
I'm not sure what the actual metronome marking would be. I just know it's on the slow side.
@@thetrumpetman ok well thank you anyway...
Olaaaa benom. Bueno sta roba. Ciao
Is this the correct key though?
Yes, it is :)
My roommate is a star wars fan!
Play this until she isn't one anymore xD
i cant even play a trumpet becuase buzzing my lips is hard lolllll
lol

I'm not planning on it right now, but thank you for the suggestion :)

Trumpet guy is better than this dude
