This is my kind of water. beautiful, amazing, clear water. We use to have a small 16Ft motor boat we went fishing for Salmon out in Puget Sound, Seattle, Wash. I didn't do much fishing. I read a book, enjoyed the peacefulness on the water, breath in the fresh salt air. We we're summer boaters...ha ha. Then sadly we got to busy with keeping up with the kids in sports and it just sit. So we sold it. I can see why you didn't want to leave. I don't want your video to end. :)
Isn't it just amazing!! Right back at ya darling 😘 Miss you, Max and Emily much. Maybe we'll see you this fall when we come back down the coast again. Happy weekend! xo
Hey guys! Thanks for a great video! I can't believe how clear that water is, it's beautiful. Grace you have a wonderful voice for narrating and a lovely style to go with it. You're comfortable to listen to, if that makes sense, anyway I like it. I saw Bill in a Delos video a few weeks back and said as much to Kazza when I commented. Congratulations on 50 videos !! That's quite a milestone and you should be proud of yourselves. I'm so proud of you I'm heading over to your Patreon page. I gotta see a guy about a thing : ) Keep up the good work !!
Thanks for the sweet compliments Jim :) It's funny Ive had a few people tell me that about my voice . . . who knew? Ha ya we are going to start popping up in their videos now - They are a couple episodes ahead of us. Thank you! Awwww YAY! SO.EXCITED. to have you on board!! Thank you so very much for your support :)
😂😂😂 he cut it in the Bahamas, a friend who sailed in was a hair dresser, long hair with all the diving in the Bahamas for too be too much. Bacons is awesome!!
Thanks for another great episode, and congrats on 50!! I've got to ask while snorkeling how do you get such amazing color on your go pro? If you are using one, I've messed and messed with the settings and it continues to get washed out... Do tell! Thanks again.
So glad you liked it and thanks! We use the GoPro 7 and I did some color editing in Adobe mostly playing with the curves to add red to counteract the blue/green and some black emphasis for more contrast but I think the biggest factor is the lighting underwater and the clarity of the water during the dive because I have a fair share of washed out footage as well. It was super sunny the day we dove and the water was very very clear. What camera do you use?
@@CalicoSkiesSailing, thank you for that info! We are still using a GoPro 4 so Im sure there is some quality difference in the software. We wont be upgrading until we get out on our own boat next year. There are so many good deals on used ones on craigslist and marketplace I will probably go that route when Im ready to upgrade to a newer model.
@@rfairch75 We just got a second GoPro 7 for a sweet deal on amazon. The 8 is great but we didnt see a huge difference besides some night mode features.
It's def doable, we were hanging with a couple boats drawing 6'+ in the raggeds and they were fine. Bumped the bottom a bit more than we did drawing 4'2" but it soft sand :)
Binging the first 50 episodes really flew by. Great videos. Well done.
😁😁😁😁😁😁 That makes us SO happy! ha. Thanks much. Super glad you enjoyed them :)

Thanks. We just got our mast back on after popping a forward lower shroud offshore of Beaufort. Time to get sailing!
@@CalicoSkiesSailing wow, that must have been frickin scary!
No fun! Was single handed too as Grace was on Delos for that passage to help with the baby

It’s true - the best of life is often what happens when you things don’t go as you plan.
Exactly. Weird right?
Like that John Lennon song, "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans."

Oh yeah....!!
The Doubie Brothers yaaaayyyy.
Love love loved it! The Ragged’s look amazing! Is there any civilization on the islands?
Small town on ragged island, population is about 40 or so. Mostly construction workers rebuilding after a hurricane
I was at Bacons today in Annapolis and someone sounded just like Bill 🤔
hahaha that was Bill alright! How sweet is Bacons?! So funny
Calico Skies Sailing that place is great I actually walked out right behind him and I was gonna say something to him but the short hair threw me off.

So what do you think about the Raggeds with a 6’ draft. Thxs

Some of those images were post card and brochure quality. Crayola should have a new box called, Fifty Shades of Blue, the Colors of the Ocean.
Thanks! such an amazing part of the world, always amazed at the colors from google maps satellite compared to the rest of the world!
At what point did you meet up with SV Delos and the nugget?
When we first got down to the raggeds, in south bay where we waited out a strong front passing through :)
Next episode or two!
Lol...”she’s probably taking a nap”. That does seem to be a reoccurring theme. Jk jk. Thanks for the channel
😂
