    After a wonderful Olympics in Paris France, both kenyan and tanzanian teams made us proud not only by getting medals but by representing east africa and africa as a continent. Also the beautiful moments were seen by Sophia Latiff posing a new record.

    Tanzania won the best beauty contest in the Olympics. Sofia was implacable; she represented TZ, East Africa and Africa as a whole with confident. There are many ways of winning and I think TZ came on top on that category.

    Although Kalenjins are dominant in winning medals in the Olympics and other international races, there are other ethno linguistic groups particularly bantus who have won great races internationally. These include Wanjiru, Wakihuri, Catherine Ndereba, Yavi, Wanyonyi and Obiri who are from different bantu ethno lingustic groups. Even among Nilotic ethno-linguistic group we have non Kalenjins such as Ereng and Rudisha.

      Stop your narrow ethnocentric thinking. In Kenya, aside from the Kalenjin, who are Nilotic, Bantu athletes like Wanyonyi and Moraa won gold and bronze. A Kenyan Bantu, Yavi, who represented Bahrain, won gold, while Bantu athletes from Botswana won gold and silver, and a Bantu athlete from Zambia won bronze. South African Bantus also won silver. Therefore, winning is not limited to any ethnicity.

  • @felixmakinda7689

    Tanzanians, don't kill yourselves. Most of the Kenyans who win medals are actually Nilotes. The Bantus are few 😂. I'm a Bantu from Western Kenya - related to the Bantus of Northern Tanzania - Abakuria, Simbiti, Zanaki and others. Inasmuch as we also sent some to Paris, don't kill yourselves for not having any. Even Ugandan Bantus didn't make the cut. It was the Nilotes of Uganda too winning medals - Cheptegei and Chemutai.

      @paulleken5575 anyone can win that's why our men did bad in Olympic the white are waking up they are going for long distance races so Africans Country should wake up they need to do much if they want to win more medals

      @@rang3688 who said winning is limited to ethnicity don't put words that I have not said. Yes there bantus who win medals but they are very few exeptions don't make the rule. Even the nilotes not all nilotes win medals mostly are the kalenjin tribe who win medals look at the total medals won by kenya since they started participating in Olympics you will see a trend.they are among the best long distance runners in the planet and that is a fact.

    • @rang3688
      @rang3688 25 дней назад +1

      @@paulleken5575 in your lengthy response, you seem to have overlooked the fact that I didn't reply to you. Perhaps you're trying to find some relevance? Yes, the Kalenjin do win medals for Kenya and to
      extent Uganda, but that doesn't make them exceptional. The medals won across Africa represent the achievements of various ethnicities, not just the Kalenjin.
