  • Tristen saddles hip number 15 for the first time and helps guide Amaree through both of their first rides. Everyone has been asking for more videos and more colt starting so this is the first of many. #horsemanship #ropehorse #western #cowboys #firstride #animals

Starting. Always a lot of good in all of your videos. You create a real foundational understanding of how to approach, work with and read an animal in a calm consistent manner. The reassurance. The balance. The releases. Minimal pressure. Letting the horse think his way through. Soak. And not rushing. Taking what the animal gives and working up from there. Good habits here for all. Appreciated.

Do you do a lot of prep work on the rope around the leg before getting on?
Is there a reason specifically why you do the first ride this way?
    Thanks for the video
