I ADORED Iron Gwazi. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by Dr. Diabolical's Cliffhanger. It's a more "traditional" dive coaster layout, but the theming kind of justifies it. It's actually a story-first ride, and that beyond vertical drop is my favorite dive coaster drop despite the fact that it's 50 feet shorter than most coasters of its model. Also, that airtime hill near the end is surprisingly forceful. I'd definitely slot it above Emperor.
The problem is once youre done with the ride and you hear the freaking audio all over the damn park. When im walking into Poltergeist i still hear "Scream for me! Louder! Screammmm!"
So, I rode Jersey Devil this year and was blown away. I thought it was Fiesta Wonder Woman tier and a lot of people at the park said it was running way better this year. I still preferred Pantheon. Both are elite rides at 9 and 14 out of 278 credits, but I just thought Pantheon was exceptional. Not sure that helps at all but thats how I felt about it.
6:14 i like how the trains are oxidized copper green/teal. Just awesome. Guardians of Galaxy is definitely my number one. Ahead of Iron Gwazi. Just amazing. Such a FUN experience. And that's why I ride coasters. Too giggle and forget about life. And that ride did that.
I have also ridden 11 new for 2022 coasters for this year and yes some of them are relocations but they often feel different when in a different place. 1. Iron Gwazi - This ranked number 1 on my top 20 list for a reason once its warmed up its wild, its ferocious, its insane. 2. Tonnerre 2 Zeus - Hands down one of the best wooden coasters out there combining a good Out and Back Twister Hybrid. 3. Guardian's of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind - This ride left me in shock how outstanding the theming and the effects were. 4. Olympia Looping (Wiener Prater) - This ran quite a bit better in austria than in the UK. 5. Sik - Give this ride a try if you can one day it takes everything thats good on colossus and makes it better with lapbars and cable lift. 6. Ice Breaker - A Nice Family/Thrill Coaster that is a powerhouse when it comes to airtime. 7. Time Travel (Hyde Park Winter Wonderland) - A unique well themed Spinning WIld Mouse with and overbank. 8. Daddy Pig's Rollercoaster - A coaster that should be at Paultons Park. 9. E.R.S - This Family coaster takes you into the land of Sci-Fi with some force on the Helix, mild ejector pop and good laterals. 10. Whirlwind (Great Yarmoth Pleasure Beach) - Just a Typical SBF Spinner. 11. Crazy Coaster (Skeggness Vintage Fair) - Just a Typical SBF Spinner.
Iron Gwazi is my new #1. Cosmic rewind is in my top 10...haven't decided on the exact placement yet. I cry happy tears from that ride too, glad I'm not the only one.

dr diabolical is the best dive coaster. (ive been on all of them) you get airtime over the first drop unlike valravn and you have a decent layout after. 2nd drop is steep so it also gives airtime. the vests feel better than the ones on all the other b and m s (plus some nice theming)
As a french 🥖 🍟, it really surprised me in a good way to see Tonnerre 2 Zeus in the third position of your ranking ! It was my first coaster ever before it has been retracked and I am really glad that you enjoyed your day in my home park and I hope you will appreciate Toutatis in the next season!
Just been to florida from the UK. Guardians shocked me how good it was. Knew nothing before I went on. That is exactly what we did - came off and paid for lightening Lane (the only time I paid for ll) to go back on. Then booked another day at epcot to get the virtual queue again. Gwazi was fab though, (but I also rode zadra this year for the first time. I think wildfire is my favourite in Europe) . Ice breaker was OK but the restraints are terrible .
Only new for 2022 coaster I did last year was Sik at Flamingo Land, Those last inversions hit different with a lap bar and it's my new number 3 overall
I rode Dr. Diabolical a week ago, and I was a bit disappointed. There are some good moments, like the first drop and the snappy zero-g roll. But the ride is pointless after the mid-course. The "extreme" airtime hill is weak at best and the turns are just boring. It's not a bad ride, but I just expected something better from B&M when you have two amazing RMCs to compete against. Honorable mention: The queue was pretty cool. Props to SFFT for actually trying.
Just to let you guys know, the name "Tonnere 2 Zeus" makes more sense if you say it in French. The old name of the ride was "Tonnere De Zeus" and 2 in French- Deux- is the same sound as "De". To those who don't know French, the name sounds a bit weird.
Dr.D and Emperor are both pretty good rides, Id probably put Emperor over Dr.D by just a bit in overall layout but Dr.D is a more well rounded experience
I have it the opposite. Dr D is the best dive coaster in the US. Back row far right seat. Great air time. I found emperor to be a weaker dive in the US. Best part was views of San Diego and bay. Ride really didn’t do much

Sik at Flamingo Land is the UK's best coaster to some people (better than nemesis, the smiler etc.), and seeing off ride and POVs it looks amazing. Also amazing park with 9 adult credits (I also think it has one of the world's best S&S drop towers)
Yeah, good list! Thats all i can say. A bit dissapointed with fønix as that is in Denmark and i live in Sweden but so many good rides opened up in cali and florida so i dont mind. I would like to see daddy pig move up a few spots though 🤣
The first time I’ve ever felt like I was experiencing the state of the art. The theming was epic, but the fact that they executed it and it looked GREAT. No tackiness in the screen, etc.

I just went to Busch gardens and waited for iron gwazi for 3 hours and the told us that they were closing it for fireworks at 8:30 for 15 minutes. They shut it down for the rest of the day and left us at the gate while they ran two empty trains
I liked Pantheon more than Iron Gwazi. I think the elements flow better. I acknowledge that the presentation was an utter failure and I do expect better from BGW. But the coaster itself is fantastic. Iron Gwazi is really good but I find it more chaotic than inspired. I still far prefer Steel Vengeance and Lightning Rod over Iron Gwazi.
We are getting to the point where the human body's ability to endure forces is the limiting factor on coasters. Iron Gwazi is DEFINITELY a ride that is in the running for the best steel coaster on Earth. I think I slightly prefer it to Steel Vengeance, Fury 325 and i305 but that can change at any time. I can't even mix wood and steel anymore. How does one compare Iron Gwazi to Voyage? They are totally different experiences. Furthermore, how do you compare Fury 325 to Iron Gwazi? Fury is going faster after the treble clef turnaround than Iron Gwazi or Steel Vengeance is going at the bottom of its drop.

I can swear that I saw you on pantheon yesterday, but it was probably just somone who looked like you. Anyway, I rode it the first time yesterday, and it's definitely unique for the park. Could use some theaming though, like the Bavarian village of BBW.
Six flags fiesta Texas is my home park and I would say dr diabolical would be somewhere in the middle of the list. It’s first drop is by far the best part but the rest of the ride feels somewhat filler. The others notable part is the low to the ground helix as there is a lot of force. My main problem is that the pre show is to slow for how fast the operations are. Most of the time there will be half filled trains and about 50 people still in one of the 2 pre shows. Otherwise I think it was a great addition to the park as it is always very consistent and very fun.
BGT is my home park and I still haven't ridden Iron Gwazi yet. I tried several times this year, but I'm still too fat to fit in the test seat. I've lost 30 lbs so far this year and hope to lose another 35 by summer. So hopefully 2023 will be year to ride it (and Cheetah Hunt finally).🐆 🙏 I can fit on everything else but those 2...
That Pantheon ranking is unfair. It’s an absolute dynamite layout with tons of variety and intense forces. If it was landscaped to the rest of the park standard it would be number 3 or higher. I’ve done Jersey Devil, which is almost a clone of Wonder Woman, and it’s not better than Pantheon IMO
I disagree with it being good that Tambili is short. The normal free spins are already really short and I think making one that's even shorter was honestly a waste.

smiler is just unlike anything else in the world in the way that iron gwazi is insane the smiler is one of the best coasters in the world easily

I disagree with it being good that Tambili is short. The normal free spins are already really short and I think making one that's even shorter was honestly a waste.
I'm not a fan if ice breaker. The restraints are bad and the distance between the top hat and backwards spike is too tight in my opinion.
