  • To me, this song and solo especially epitomize the idea of "less is more;" it conveys so much emotion without having to be flashy. I consider it one of the most beaituful songs ever written, and so I wanted to record my interpretation Enjoy!

    Though I unable to verify anywhere that Moody created this solo, but I strongly believed that he was the one when he rebuilt this song with Amy. With this kind of flow, Moody is really one of those underrated soloist out there. I can feel the pain, the whole story, plus the shout that came out from the sound of this solo. Thanks to our brother here for showing the close up of how it being played.

      You get a heavier sound in drop tuning.

    Hey this is the best cover wouldn't mind getting the tabs although the video is pretty good and it is a cut and dry solo still missing a few

    Do you pinch harmonic in the last part?

  • @jamesrobert680
    @jamesrobert680 Год назад +1

    Are you using wah pedal, and do you hammer on? And you remembered the pinch harmonics too.

    • @JohnSKihm
      @JohnSKihm  Год назад +1

      Yep, I'm using a crybaby wah for the solo part, though I clicked it off once I started playing chords. I occasionally used hammer ons I think; however, they're less necessary for solos that don't have many fast licks like this one. I'm not a super proficient alternate picker so I generally do tend to use hammer ons and pull offs in faster parts! Thanks for watching and commenting!

      @@YO-cr4su sure! I don’t own the rights to this song of course, so I would credit the original band, evanescence
