- Crown Victoria ( Traction Lock ) JUNKYARD search... We found a Galaxie 500 Convertable There area lot of cars to choose from , but most junkyards will not have what you need... So you have to serch in your Vics, Thunderbirds, maybe Cougars, Ford Rangers, Mustangs and even some Lincoln Lsc models
Part time. It doesn't eat the splines off stock axles.
As far as the convertable, I'd find another Crown Vic.
Check the explorer axles, they're 8.8s, usually 4:10s, and a lot are limited sli my brother.

I need 29 spline Big bro... all you mention are 31 spline ( in trucks ) 2005- up Vics i think all have 31 and the 2004- below have 28... Hard to find a Vic with a Traction around these parts

Glad to see you Back! The 65' Galaxie, if the frame is good, I'buy it and put a hard top on it :) The 1965's are getting rare as fuche! That's why I like having 3 cars, 1971 Galaxie, and LTDs all 2 door hard tops and the Real 9" axles... But did sell the 05' Gold Vick to a freind to raise cash for the 04' LX Sport, got all of the buggaboos under the dash fixed... climate control working and blowing ice cold air... now threw the vents too :) New window switches and all 4 windows Work! Now back to stripping the body to bare metal

For me, its cleaning and re-orging the garage... My hold up was my girl's couch in the middle of the garage for 2 years, its Now at Good Will :) With my OCD, I got to have everything where belongs like my tools. Once I'm ready, its 'Hold My Beer' Time...
@@bstfordchannel923 The 1965 Galaxie500 Rag Tops had the factory roof cut off post production and fitted with the Rag Top... there's now companies making replacement panels for these Fords! Or find a donor car, even a 4 door an cut to fit! I'll send you a picture of a 65' that got a new roof! And she's Pretty!

Just can pass up a classic car ford ( full size deal ) so I have to wait it out a bit for that... Just staying focus and blessed... How's it going brother?? Bro part time us where it's at. Have you ever drove a full time? When changing lanes in the rain at highway speeds you can feel it unlocking and then locking back. If that's the one that completely locks the rear I would Def not use it. When going around a corner the outer tire doesn't speed up like it's supposed to and it drags the tire. Those puppies destroy tires and will eat the splines off of OE axles. Cars are coming along brother. My Ls3 block should be done this week. I found a set of 821 Ls3 heads on E-Bay for $325. Those must have been low mileage cause there isn't any pitting on the seats and they are in great shape. Going to put some BTR .660 double valve spring and stem seals in them. I'm am mad excited. I can't wait. I know I still have along way to go with this swap but piece by piece will get me there. I'm trying to walk not run but every piece I get gets me more excited. Happy to see another one of your videos brother. I havnt made any new videos yet. I put the engine and trans on market place and the next morning the guy was at my house buying the engine. I had to snatch it quick. And as you know, by your self takes way more time. I hope all is well with you brother.
Thats is great price on the heads you bought... I am happy that YOU are happy on the build.. This is so important to have that joy ( cause its great spark ) of life ( for self ) ...Now the axles well we shall see how this goes lol... This rear is taking a long time to make happen its SUCKS... I should had kept the stoick gears in this thing... Now that Ls build you doing this is dope cause you made sense on what its all about... BST, I'd go with a part time if its a daily driver... But! As with my 2010 Grand Victoria 351W build, it will be a Drag Strip car, so a full time locker for 8.8 rear end!

Unfortunately your rear is 70" wide. Mustang is 73.90 and it's not offset. But with the 4v I would go with 31 spline jmo.
I You are correct what I do is that take the Diff out vs using thw whole axle... Its cheaper that way now the white vic uses a 28 spline i have 31 spline traction lock... I just ordered the spinder clutch gears ( 28 spline ) so i will be good Big Borther
@@bstfordchannel923 ok but understand 28 spline with a heavy crown, stay around 400hp no more. It will break an axle. If pushed more. Be well until next one.
