- #jnu की दुनियाभर में अपनी एक अलग पहचान है. यहां रंगी दीवारें, पोस्टर और पेंटिंग सरकार के खिलाफ आवाज उठाती हैं. कहा जाता है कि यहां की दीवारें भी अन्याय के खिलाफ बोलती हैं, मुद्दों पर बहस करती हैं यानी यहां की दीवारें भी आंदोलनकारी हैं. हालांकि, इंकलाबी नारों और स्लोगन से रंगी इन दीवारों पर अब पेंट करने का फरमान जारी हुआ है. इसके बाद से पोस्टर और पेंटिंग को हटाया जा रहा है. इसी की पड़ताल करने के लिए हमने विश्वविद्यालय का दौरा किया और जानने की कोशिश की कि आखिर जेएनयू जिस बात के लिए जाना जाता है, वह अब कितना बदल गया है.
यहां के छात्रों का कहना है कि जेएनयू की संस्कृति को खत्म किया जा रहा है. पीएचडी कर रहे छात्र हिमांशु कहते हैं, "जब से #bjpgovernment आई है तब से टारगेट किया जा रहा है. प्रदर्शनों पर भी रोक लगाई जा रही है, कैंपस के इतिहास को ही खत्म किया जा रहा है."
जेएनयू से पीएचडी कर रहे छात्र अशोक कुमार कहते हैं, "यह सिर्फ जवाहरलाल नेहरू विश्वविद्यालय में ही नहीं हो रहा है बल्कि पूरे देशभर में ऐसा हो रहा है. पहले जब जेएनयू का कल्चर जिंदा था तब हॉस्टल में पब्लिक टॉक्स हुआ करते थे. सभी विचारधारा के लोग एक साथ बीजेपी, आरएसएस, कांग्रेस, लेफ्ट चाहे वह किसी का भी समर्थन करता हो, वे सब अपने विचार रखते थे. लेकिन अब यह सब ख्त्म हो रहा है."
बता दें कि #jnuadministration ने छात्रों के धरने से लेकर कैपस में पोस्टर लगाने तक, तमाम नियम कड़े और जुर्माना तय कर दिया है. धरना देने, दीवारों पर पोस्टर लगाने पर 20 हजार रुपए तक का जुर्माना है. इसके अलावा कुछ मामलों में छात्र को कैंपस से निष्काषित करने का भी प्रावधान है.

I am an ex student of JNU, itne saal ho gaye par mujhe abhi bhi ye nahi pata ki JNU students ko kis cheez se azaadi chahiye exactly? Aur azaadi mil gya agar uske baad ka kya plan hai? Koi plan hai bhi? Agar mujhe ice-cream chahiye to ya to main kharid ke kha sakta hun ya protest kar sakta hun ki ice cream chahiye. Jis cheez ke liye protest karte hain usko thik karne ke liye na koi contribution hota hai na koi plan. Jnu ko kuch issue thik nahi karna unhe bas protest karna hai issues pe, issues badalte rehte hain par protest same rehta hai, protest khatam hi nahi hota. Bas students ka time aur energy un productive cheezon me waste hota rehta hai.

@@dharmatejareddy. No I was not a bhakt infact good sir. Nor am I today. You see I protested a lot, night and day till my vocal cords would strain, and then some more, but you see some people's mental development doesnt stop when they enter second year.
So I matured and some questions started to come in:
1. Is paar bhi azaadi us paar bhi azaadi I want, but what is my plan of action after the 'azaadi' is granted. And 'azaadi' to do what exactly? Is it just a mantra I have been taught without knowing where it comes from or where it intends to lead towards.
2. Oxford, cambridge like universities are not overtly political centers, so are they any less of in stature? Are they making any less of a contribution towards their nation? And is wasting the explosive and precious energy of youth in mindless chanting of the azaadi mantra endlessly by road sides while smoking endless rounds of banga in any or major way responsible for not letting JNU rise to the heights of excellence of the above mentioned universities?
3. I asked all leaders, what next after azaadi is granted what is the blueprint exactly to achieve the good things for our nation or society. All I received was angry stares in return which said " The problems must never end! We dont have a plan! Apart from making you chant azaadi mantra, coz that way we control what you chant." But wont that make me just a bhakt of your ideology I asked, something which you so abhorr. The reply was "Sshhh"

Jawarlal University is the reason why Nepal hates India. Nepal had a Maoist revolution which was started by JNU alumni Baburam BHattarai, Hisila Yami. This revolution lead to the death of 17,000 Nepalis. I visited jnu recently… literALLY in such a huge campus I could find signboards or name plates on no building or center but slogans of various student groups everywhere in bold letters… grown up people should act responsibly maturely n in civilized way . This nostalgically wareminded me of that time when we were kids n used go write draw or paint anything on walls of home…. Puting banner n poster is okay but ruining the very walls irreversibly is beyond comprehension…. I mean u can have separate dedicated space to show all wokeness…

I study in Delhi University ( venky), alot of friends From defferent college say that the recruitment of teachers are being done on their ideological basis, the teachers who are connected to RSS shakha, VHP, BD, BJP, or rightwing group etc.
There are many teachers have been exiled from college because they don't support the hindutva propaganda politics, my friends told 7 teachers from sbsec have been rejected, they all were teaching there almost for 5 to 8 yrs.
Now in our country, the democratic principles are being suppressed.
if a student is not allowed to think on the basis of logic or rationality, i think it will not be wrong to say that now we are going towards authoritarianisms 😢😢😢.
We should protect our educational institutions and should promote or allow to think on basis of rationality, we should not be bound by one ideology.

Why the struggle to grasp the obvious? Each college has its forte, and that's precisely why IITians focus on their expertise. It doesn't make them clueless, just specialized. Expecting medical and IIT folks to dive into protests unrelated to their field is like expecting a fish to climb a tree? JNU's specialization in social sciences and humanities has indeed garnered global recognition.
