Here in new Zealand we used to use that exact design of coupler. Some rolling stock still have those couplers and use specialised adapters to couple up to newer stock with knuckles
I watched the introduction video on Hyce's channel and this game delivers better than many other games, I'm so looking forwards to this Railroads Online! replacement! Please do more of this, I'm excited to see what more is possible here!
I'm surprised you guys haven't tried some of the VR train stuff. I know Hyce plays Derail Valley, but over the weekend I was at my VR studio testing out some VR train set games: Rolling Line (single player, paid) and Locomancer (multiplayer, free). Both were a heap of fun. Rolling Line was awesome, well worth a look, and because I'm from Australia, I'm here for a Kiwi company making good games. Locomancer is a bit more basic, but still heaps of fun. And being free with multiplayer support, I could see you and Hyce having some fun. Just watch the reverser on the trains, you will die in a fiery crash. Both games have the Union Pacific Big Boy, and in both you can either be looking at the model railroad, or controlling the trains/walking about.
I would totally be down for more of this i honestly missed the train content i learned something new every time I saw a train in the thumbnail it's not only educational but entertaining

"1A1T" is the equivalent of Whyte's "2-2-2T." It counts the number of leading axles, driving axles and trailing axles, with letters for driven axles (A is 1, B is 2 and so on). The "T" (in both systems) just means it's a tank engine. So, looking down the list, the "RSR B1T Class E" would have no leading axles, two driven axles and one rear axle, and be a tank locomotive (B1T), thus being an 0-4-2T (the same as the Porter 9-ton from Railroads Online), while the "CT Class G" would be an 0-6-0T, and a theoretical "2C1" would be a 4-6-2 Pacific tender engine.

I like the looks im definitely curious about trying it and yes make it a series seems like yiu guys are over railroads online and so it's logical to go to its more realistic but arcade graphics cousin

you should try some other roblox games! there's actually quite a couple good ones out there. one I'd reccomend for you would be plane crazy, you can make some really cool contraptions in that one. you might also like islands, or lumber tycoon 2, but I feel like plane crazy might be the best fit of these for you.
So why does the fire flutter with the piston noise? Presumably the fire and the steam are separated by a steel wall, and if you are just using a powered fan should it not just run smooth like the wheels? Is it using some sort of steam flow pump? Also, would you not just close off air valves to slow/stop the burn on a full coal hamper?
When steam is exhausted from the cylinders it gets exhausted through the smoke box. Which thanks to fun fluid dynamics stuff pulled more air through the fire
