A good tip for sanding repairs and runs is use a skim of body filler before blocking, especially with the finer grades, makes it much easier to keep a flat and level with surrounding area as you can see very easy if there's any dips. Often used to sand out runs in clear coat.
Composite repair can be frustrating and tedious, but you're putting the time in to do it right.. should feel pretty good when she's out on the water! BG4L🚤💨
You did such a good job on those, you might as well do all of them that way so they’re not always weighing in the back of your mind. Great job by the way.
I would try to correct it also. Cant say it's the correct way, but already someone mention ca glue. I did both on dom. When weave is totally exposed i put little ca on (gets sucked in, and sand it) then resin, because ca isn't flexibel. After sanding it smooth i put 2k clearcoat on it to get extra material for blueprinting. I painted dom (v1) partially, its full off these cracks but didn't fix them all because that would have been way to much work (that many are there)... Nice job, i think its worth it to put in the time.
I think a good whindshild vacume chip sealing tool would come in handy for this lol hey this boat doesnt seem to have to much use for what it looks like its been threw couldnt believe how good the surface drives came appart & looked👍
Yea, you got to watch out for the purchase police, especially if they cook your dinner😂😂😂😂😂😂 love the videos, great job on the bottom of the boat hull, it look like new 🧐👍
Big B , great job on the epoxy . Looking forward towards the next few videos . how come you are not using SRD-V3 ? Let’s blast this boat . Predicting 150+ mph 👏
Nice job, so good seeing how to do that!! Yes, always got to keep on the good side of the household law enforcement officers🚨🚓.. those purchasing police impose harsh penalties man.. I’m hearing you!! 🤣😎
Well, since Arneson is actually a brand, you could just call them surface drives, and that would be correct…. Either way we get a chuckle when you try and say it… :-)
I had an A&P instructor tell me once “I got in a hurry and stayed all night”. Awesome work Big B!
