I just downloaded Pete’s Tone Enhancer TonePrint and it’s KILLER 🔥🔥🔥
I installed Pete's Tone Enhancer about a year ago and leave it on most of the time. And it's cool to find this walk-thru to learn how it works.
Best pedal education channel ever? Maybe. IMO this and That Pedal Show are both essential if you are serious about your sound. Thanks guys.
I got this pedal two years ago and never checked out the Tone Print options. I honestly had no idea this pedal was so powerful. Now I know what I'm doing for the rest of the day.
This was a really cool series of videos. I learned a lot and really enjoyed watching these two dudes turn knobs for hours on end. Thanks.

No doubt. I wish they had done more with them playing around with some of the older TC stuff as well. I mean, I don't even use a compressor when playing live, and hardly whenever I've recorded in a studio, unless the engineer recommended it. But, I really enjoy these guys talking about it, and Pete demonstrating it in real time.
It just seems like it would be fun as hell, to have all the TC pedals, and Tore dialing in the tones as you describe them.
People dont get that the HG can be equal parts studio powerful or pedal board simple. They say " I dont want to mess with all that" then spend fortunes chasing the perfect compression pedal. If they understand compression, they can "make" the pedal of thier dreams. Parallel/multiband is the absolute shiz!😎👍🏼 Very educational vid guys!!!
Right. I haven't bought this pedal yet, but the other pedal compressors I own leave me wanting in some range of the instrument. I think the HG with multiband might be the ticket!
Again, damn I love Tore and Pete together.
Nice job guys. Very good starting point for that tone print. I personally might turn down the ratio a bit for more transparent compression but well covered for those trying to understand the parameters available.
Great video, great player and great pedal. I got it.
I pressed the like button the second Pete said, '' Alex Lifeson '' :):):)
Amazing!
@38:47 Pete's like "Little pedal what's your name?"
One of the best songs from one of the best albums ever!
Show de bola.
Abraços e bends
In what applications is it better to put the compressor pedal in the loop? Majority prefers in the front, but for smoothing out the playing, loop seems to work better I think.
So is the ratio just hard set when you are using the peddle outside the software? Gotta say i really prefer compressors that visually show when the threshold is engaging and how much db are being reduced like the keeley pro compressor.
How many dBs up and down do I have available on the level knob?
Oh man, I know that I know that song Pete plays in the minute 5:19 but I just can't remember! Can anyone help me?
Tell us about the typical unwanted hiss that comes with compression. does this pedal have it or was it edited out post? Thx!
All compressors have that to some extent. That is obvious because a compressor increases gain. But the HG does not have much noise.
6:15 alright, didn't know he could play like that. Damn.
David G I didn’t know either until just now. Pete is an amazing guitarist.
Cooal :-)
question, can you save your own different toneprints somewhere other that in the pedal? like to a user account to recall later? thanks for the help
Hi Oscar. It automatically saves on whatever devices you've made it on (i.e computer, tablet, mobile phone). There's currently no way to transfer these from device to device, but we are working on a solution for this 🙂
@@tcelectronic Would love this feature! Love the pedal nonetheless! I'm rocking it on the Plethora and having a great time. Cheers guys!
I finaly understand compression, any hopes of seeing a video about compressed heavily detuned guitars?
Maybe! But unlikely to be with Pete ... he flew home some weeks ago! 😀
@@tcelectronic booo bring him back! lol
It makes me sad to know that there can only be so many more TC videos with Tore. Unless they filmed a ton in advance like Marvel has done with Stan Lee.
This comment is a little spooky given the news of Stan Lee’s passing today.
Why has tore left TC now?
@@ILiveAmongLions I know, weird coincidence. : (
John Horne What happened with/to Tore?
Some details please? Or this is the lowest or trolling... To have people thinking/imagining the worst..
Make a video "How to impress your mommy sounding like Josh Homme" plz.
Whats the point of buying this pedal if you wanna emulate dyna comp so much
I think the point of having this pedal is to be able to go from the Dyna kind of compression to a softer, less in your face compression. It's like having a Flashback: you can have the 2290 kind of delay, but you can also have a Memory Man kind of delay, or the Carbon Copy. If you had either the 2290 or the Carbon Copy you wouldn't have anything else to experiment and find the sound that fits the song better. So in this case I think the range you can get from this pedal is the key
Okay I know I'm more ignorant than average but am I the only guy here with a sore brain?
Not at all, it's a tough subject! 🙂
