Another great video, loved your response to Martins request for a beer and glad to see you had your priorities right, fix thumb or continue fishing. Well done 😊
That’s a great spot. I wade out there over the shallow rocks and reef. Lots of mullet but also plenty of salmon at times and odd balls like king George whiting, flathead, trevally and others. Wading is best on a lower tide so you can get out and cast out over the sandy holes and bottom. For the salmon I use half pillies under a small float.
I love Martin's priorities... "What else do you want from the car? .... A beer!" 😂 That looks like a perfect flathead spot for soft plastics. Will have to give it a go. Well done guys!
Ha Ha, That's Martin's dry sense of humour🤣. Nice idea about the flathead...that's what what we hope people get out of our vids....see what the place looks like, get some ideas, and give it a go. Let's us know what happens 👍
Hi Linda and Martin, thanks, I've just stumbled across your great RUclips videos and info on the web page. I'm an old bugger now and lived in Perth 17 years but still get back to original SA occasionally. Pondi is a great spot. I've scored well at that spot you fished. Pity we can't get deadly live gents in WA like SA. (Yep, gotta breed my own.) Only frozen wogs (gents) in WA. In the separate video showing your tommy rig, I like that method of tying the hook line to the main trace, keeping the hook away from the main trace to reduce tangles. Thanks again. PS: Tommies will always be tommies, not herring!😉
Thanks for your feedback! We look forward to getting over to WA in a few years time to fish. Sounds like there are some amazing fishing spots over there 😊. We are loving West Eyre Peninsula we are living at the moment. Have you fished there?
@@fishingsister I look forward to trying Eyre Pen again when heading back that way in about a month. On my way back to Perth from Adelaide early last year I stopped at Coffin Bay, Venus, Streaky, Ceduna but got blown away by raging easterlies all the time. WA is supposed to be one of the windiest places on earth but SA had that honour at that time!😉
Easy way to tell the difference is Parrot fish have a solid parrot like teeth and the Wrasse teeth are fang like . Our local Rock Cod are generally Brown/ white / orange Spotted Wrasse and Blue Throated Parrot Fish is a male Blue Throated Wrasse.
Love ya Vids , for Mullet I make a Mullet mix out of Mince meat semolina and a small amout of curry powder . Mullet are an underrated fish for the table especially smoked .
@@fishingsister When I saw you un hook the fish with all the tension on the line I thought "'spring loaded hook coming up "and then bam . We have all done it in our excitement .
Done that myself, on gang hooks real dead, stayed there for 2 days until the public holidays, took the doctor a good half hour before he managed to wrestle it out, with lots of nerve blocker.
We can be contacted on fishingsister.com.au on the contact form on left hand side of the home page and if needed we can provide that kind of information via that method as we move around a fair bit. Thanks :)
@Doopo99 Good observation....Linda had a total microphone failure that day, so I am more 'present' in this video as only my voice was recorded. You can only hear Linda if she was near me, and the rest of Linda's voice was added later in the editing stage. The joys of making fishing videos!

I was never going to get that beer 🤣

Not planning on making that mistake again🤣
Enjoyed that video, except for Linda getting hooked.
Didn't stop her!

Ouch! Sounds awful..
You know Martin tells everyone you are a rubbish fisher and he is the real talent lol.
Dream on lol
Can put a, postal address on, if anyone wants to send things to you ? 🎣

You have no reason to fear sting rays, you don’t hurt them they won’t hurt you..
Used to be better when Martin didn’t talk as much

@@Martin.B. haha fair enough. My comment was slightly tongue in cheek anyway. Keep up the good vids
