@@willfrancis9010 I did my research into that. They didn’t do well to cover it up. The car used had already been in an incident. By protocol the car was to be scrapped and not used. The weakened armoured car didn’t have the integrity to withstand the crash. It was kinda obvious

Prince Phillip was actually proven to be “not at fault”
The other driver had been done for speeding numerous times on the same road. Accident evidence proved she didn’t even try to brake until just before the impact, as in a few meters short of hitting it at 70mph.
So for a change a 97yr old wasn’t guilty of causing a collision by driving!
Okay…. And that relates to ‘not bothered to apologize for the incident in general’ how exactly??

In my country, a postman can drive without his seatbelt if the distance between two letterboxes is under 800 meters ( from door to door in a village for example or farm to farm.) but if he has to drive further than that he must put on his seatbelt which every postman does...of course...absolutely...definitely...; )
@@1969Kismet Here, it's technically illegal but not prosecuted while the postman is on active delivery. However, you are strongly advised to buckle up for longer distances between letterboxes or empty trips from one street to the next.
What I meant, though, is that it's illegal to fasten the seat belt and then sit on top of it, manipulate the indicator lamp/turn off the beeping or use what we call a 'klicker' - a cut-off buckle to put into the receiver thingy on your seat to trick the car into thinking you're buckled up.

I've only been on the job since April, so have never experienced Christmas time as a postman so far.
But I have to admit, I was a teeny tiny bit shocked how many postman come to work hungover or still drunk (and it's not only the student part-time employees but also the blokes in their 50s, who've been with the company for 30 years.) and how many start drinking as soon as they get back to base and before they even clock out.
I'm by no means a teetotaller but it's unsettling how careless they all are to lose their licenses and thus their jobs.
Haven't had anyone offer me alcohol during delivery yet, however, it's one thing to be offered a drink (this is a very rural area, too, so it's not unlikely) but an entirely different thing to accept it. Their loss.
I doubt we're in the same country. We don't start delivery at 7am and never have, as far as I know. Where are you at?
