I have 2 of the new Chauvet GigBar 2.0's. They are great and save alot of time for set up.. We also use the swarms and moving heads.. Not always at the same time, it depends on the gig. But all in all worth the money! These can also be DMX'd and switched around. They have come a long way!
Great video man! I love the Swarms those thing kick-ass, and they are actually really intuitive they do a pretty good job of dancing with the music. I like the gig bar too, not sure why people have a problem with them, they are just plug and play thats awesome!

Thanks DJ Rick....... Those are awesome lights! The swarm is next on my list. All my lighting is sound active which is on two light trees on each side of my booth, driven by my yester years ADJ Light CoPilot. I normally drive my lighting with my speakers somewhat behind each tree. I just purchased a pair of active Bose F1 812's in which I really don't want to throw behind my light trees. I'll be using my Peavey SP Subcompact 18". I'd like to add, I have a mix of both LED & halogens. I have a question for you, if you don't mind; Do you have any suggestions for driving these lights other than changing them all out and going DMX? I even thought of throwing a couple 5" speakers behind them but, I dont want it to interfere with my sound from the Bose. I would appreciate any insight from you due to all your experience. Thanks again for another great video! 👍😊
similar to the movers you have Rick I would highly recommend the ADJ Inno pocket wash. Same size as the inno pocket spots but really bright and being a wash they fill a room. I sometimes use them on my podiums with a skrim which looks great.
Good selection I have the inno pockets and the stinger2 good lights. the only thing i hate about them is the the ir control you have to point directly at the fixture . My other favourite is a blue green lazer dot/star effect which scans around the room bought on ebay but don't think available anymore. More lights now coming out with all in one light with 3-4 effects definitely way to go for mobiles. Uplights my opinion is go battery wireless a bit more money but worth it for ease of setup.
I like the Chauvet 4-play cl. That is the clear version of the 4-play. Instead of just black metal fixtures, the 4-play cl are made of clear plexiglass and the actual fixtures light up and become part of the show. I purchased a gigbar 2.0 right when it came out and I tried to control it using the included wireless remote control with no success. I was very disappointed with it. I had a hard time getting the lights to respond using the wireless remote even after a new battery. The foot controller was also worthless. If I could figure out a way to control it using a real simple dmx controller that maybe the answer. If any one has any suggestions please advise me.
I have 2 Chauvet Mini Kinta's and they are awesome! Highly recommend. Got them linked in master slave and they fill up a room with light. Especially good with smoke effects!

I have just started to go in to DMX from obey 3 to Lanta orion meter bars and that is amazing - when it gets going it almost looks like lightning when used with heavy metal double bass drums E.G. slipknot, 5finger death punch, trivium, bullet for my valentine to name a few.
Good choices you gave for sound active. Another one is the cloud by eliminator. rgbwa 5 colors, led ,very active and bright.
great video one i found good for the money is the Kam derby fx just under 2ft long and one is good pair them up pretty cool master slave them away you go light show right there :) for a £209 setup not bad at all yes cheap end but tbf not bad at all for a start up dj tbf i been at it 18 years and just bout them for my kids parties awesome

Im looking to upgrade to the gigbar . Right now I have a t bar with mini kintas and pars . The gig bar is so easy to set up and it's just plug and play. I think the one thing why people hate on the gig bar is because alot of djs don't program a real light show . They just run it on auto . The best inexpensive way yo run the gig bar is to get a irc remote . You can create a light show within seconds.

+JJsEntertainmentServices I watch some videos on it. Me personally. I think appearance wise it looks ugly. I would still recommend swarm over it.
I love my gig bar I think is a awesome chauvet gig 2.0 specially if you add with a chauvet fog machine it will look 10 times better
I made a video on why I hate the gigbar. Lol. Instead use a 4 par bar like a 4play, blizzard weather system, or eternal show cube. Also, I suggest the swarm wash fx over just the regular swarm. Instead of the strobes around the outside, they replaced them with wash and moved the strobe to the middle in a ring around the laser hole. Though, for weddings I suggest staying away from fixtures with lasers and strobes. Nice suggestion of the moving head. The innos are kind of weak since they are only like 15w but still better than most of the other suggestions. Or a nice pair of pocket scans. Then they don't have to worry about them going everywhere. They'll for sure stay in the dance floor.

I own 2 Chauvet Gigbar2 IRC'S as well as 2 Chauvet Swarm FX5's with a Chauvet Hurricane 1800 Fog Machine and let me tell you AMAZING light show I have :) One less thing I have to worry about is DMXING cause all my lights are sound activated and they are pretty MINT !!! So who ever likes DMXING all the power to you cause I don't :)

in my experience as a dj the reality is nobody gives a toss about the lights. if they come out wanting a good night then they will have one...if they dont then they wont. Us djs are real nerds.

+Kronic Chillz I personally enjoy programing lights, but I also enjoy computer programing. Only real benfit from DMX is you can tell lights exactly what you want them to do at all times. So moving head spotlight a person a cake table. All pars and movings all on the same color.
thanks for that I also have a cert 3 in computer programming what I meant I didn't really type it well I meant is it better to go for a wireless dmx system or just keep using dmx cable and running them thanks again
+Kronic Chillz wireless is by far the way to go. I use donner wireless dmx transmitters and receivers. Replaces all my cables. Make setup way easier.

+vincent gijsels no you would hi pass both. The hi pass ensures that your tops dont produce any of the same frequences coming from the subs. Potentially a top could cancel out the same freq as the sub is producing. Not likely but it can happen. When I used 15 in subs with 15 in tops. Had to be very careful with the freq the tops noticably canceled out some freq so I had to make sure I was always doing hi pass. You dont have to worry as much with 18 in subs. There freq range tends to not overlap tops as much as a 15. Hope that helps

ADJ Tempest MSD250 FTW video of mine is on my channel 250w discharge lamp 12 moving mirrors and 6 rotating mirror dishes they are amazing impressive lights if you can find one
As for stuff currently sold the EMMA Em-rgb220 500mw ILDA laser is absolutely amazing and there like $218 on aliexpress and yes you can run it stand alone in sound active mode I cannot reccomended it enough it does cartoons patterens etc. There all on a SD card that comes pre loaded with the light
American dj has a new fixture that has a par effect, laser, and moon flower effect that they just released. 2 if them kick ass in medium to large room
