Truer words have never been spoken. ;) At the beginning of the story, I was ready to defend "Bert". On the surface, the conflict seemed pretty trivial and ordinary. He's working long hours to provide for his family, and didn't feel like making extra stops after work. Telling her to just door-dash it was a reasonable request. But then the rest came out. Past infidelity, telling a woman (his own wife no less) that her miscarriage was a "good thing"... wow. Ditching his kid on the holidays. May her next husband be a wealthy taco-truck tycoon, lol.
