One thing about Boeing is that they make the nicest looking commercial jets starting with the 707. Just stunning. Though it's a hard decision for me to make whether the prettiest aircraft ever made was the 707, Lockheed Super Connie or the L-1011.
It still blows my mind that the engine diameter on the 777 is the size of a 737 fuselage. It's got the biggest and most powerful engines of any airliner. One 777 engine can keep a 747 flying at cruise speed, it's amazing what 115,000lbs of thrust can do.
It was discussed that an airplane designed with the powerplant of 4 GE90s could easily power an aircraft larger than the 380 with capacity of 1000+.. But that was just on the basis of the GE90's thrust and it is unlikely that it would be possible in real life

If the 747 is an icon of a 4-engine aircraft, the 777 is no doubt an icon of a 2-engine aircraft. What a beautiful video this is. Personally for me two F-15's flanking the aircraft would have been just out of the world. But, the F/A-18's will do, too. All in all: beautiful.

We are flying from LAX, and actually landing at Newark, and then will drive to NYC. My dad's cousin was nice enough to offer her house for us to stay in for while we are there since she lives near Newark.

I took a Swiss air flight not to long ago from San Fransisco to Zürich in an a340, I gotta be honest, the a340 will still always be one of my favorite planes, it's long and sleek. Even though the a340 was discontinued in 2011 Airbus still supports all a340's in service today.
Hmmm... What the fighter pilot is doing at 2:40 is telling the 777 pilot "Violator, follow me to the nearest airport". Waving the wings like that in international airspace is an unfriendly gesture, the last warning before firing at the aircraft. I understand the good intentions but someone REALLY didn't think it through. Other than that, congratulations to Swiss. Glad to see a very young first officer. Good luck!
Maloy7800 Erm...From what I know its also known as a "Wave" commercial pilots do it when delivering a plane from the airstrip as either a goodbye. Also the plane was not on International Airspace it was in the Swiss Alps.
