- While we are we are officially introduced to baby Luke Reid, Zach and Joel work on one of Hope Zion’s most dangerous cases yet. They are trying to get the missile out of a young sergeant’s pelvic bone, but when he starts bleeding out, Joel intentionally sends Zach to get some blood. Joel promises to wait for Zach before he removed the bomb, but we know he won’t. While Zach drives away, he realises Joel's plan but it's too late. Just as the bomb squad start to guide Joel, he sees the white horse.
From Season 3 Episode 18 "All the Pretty Horses": Joel and Zach help an army man in the field. Charlie and Dawn try to save a hand while Maggie and a really pregnant Alex take their board exams. Something bad happens to Joel whiles he's out with Zach. Alex gives birth.

Actually Daniel’s characters name in Saving Hope is Joel Goran. Not Elijah Mikaelson.
was devastated when Joel died but I see it as Elijah leaving Hope Zion to save Hope, and he managed to save Marcel the soldier before going back to New Orleans to fight Marcel Gerard 🤣

Never like Joel. Professionally he was top notch but personal life he was selfish. His character always had an agenda. I think Alex had him pegged day 1 yet ended up getting back with him. Tigers never change their stripes.

Dang Elijah was so young on here and still playing the noble one stuck in a love triangle. Now i got to watch this show just to look at him
And he looked and he saw a pale horse running by, which seemed to be one only he could see. And he understood, Death rode by and he knew what was coming.

Explosion is small, shrapnel is huge, if it was real everyone standing around him would have got tagged by shrapnel.

Joel dying had me in tears because he was an amazing surgeon and doctor and he died to save a life

My ore successful depends on his patients who successfully ended every case that he put in his mind, in short, my excellent doctor did not deserve this end, my feelings are still the same when I first watched it, this scene hurts me, such a doctor breaks down and dies in this way 😭

Why did they kill him off
Because Daniel gillies went onto TVD
He went to film TVD then the spinoff the originals (he died)
He was working full time on this and full time on The Originals, and since he did not have enough time for his private life with his family, he chose to continue working on 'The Originals'. Probably because he knew that character a bit more than the character he played in this show, having played Elijah on the show called 'The Vampire Diaries', and wanted to continue that journey. He also seems to be closer to the people he worked with on The Vampire Diaries and The Originals, so perhaps that also had something to do with it
At the end of the day it was his own choice. Funny thing is that in 'The Originals', there is a baby called Hope, and they work to protect her and keep her safe

He never died. Yes he woke from the coma.
Yes he was just in a coma but eventually after an experimental treatment by Dr Shahir & Alex he wakes up, but after he starts seeing ghosts. It is a gift for him to be able to help people but he sometimes struggles with it, not sure if you've seen the whole show so I won't add any spoilers but it ended with Season 5 in 2017 😢

Depends on the size, but in this case it would have been immediate, painless

Not gonna lie. I celebrated at this scene a bit. I hated Joel from the moment he stepped onto the show. He’s a manipulative pretty boy who tries to steal the fiancé of a man in a coma, plays with his patients lives using risky surgeries just so he can get an adrenaline high and raise his own reputation, he uses a bet to try to get Charlie to stay away from Alex even though Alex wanted Charlie back knowing it would prompt a physical reaction, he displays sociopathic behavior both in the show and in the stories Alex tells about him from college which he confirms. I don’t get why people seem so enamored with him as a character. So I not only celebrated a bit as I said before but I also couldn’t stop laughing of about three or four minutes after the explosion.

For me,Joel looks like insectoid.He is jalous ,who knows rhat the Charlie ,is in love with Alex,and save Her life ,when His ex wife opearate Her.What kind of charachter is it .Animal has better.
He didnt throw it because of all the people around. It prob would have killed more people
