Neat fly. While I was watching this I thought about some olive mottled yarn I have, and then you talked about the olive chenille. I think I'll have to try the yard. Thanks for the video and keep the good stuff coming.

Yeah that will totally work. Probably be a winner among the fish too

The rainbows in the streams and rivers love these in olive on the swing! I will also use heavy tungsten eyes to get it down in the higher water, wrapping the chenille around them in a ball. It can really push some water and cause the tail to really move.

This is my favorite pattern! I use it for smallmouth.

Great video, never tied with a cone head before. What size is the cone you're using for a size 4? Thanks!

Honestly I don’t remember. I tend to go as big as I can without it going over the eye if that helps

Where do you get your nicer marabous from? I can only ever find Wapsi’s strung marabou in shops around me, which can be a mixed bag.

So for longer strung marabou i recommend FishHunter Marabou. Never had a bad bag yet. Whiting Farms super bou is pretty awesome stuff as well but as mentioned in the video you don’t get the long feathers from my experience. But they are perfect for buggers and leeches. Almost tooo perfect
