There was real trading cards in the us, but I believe they only sold at dollar tree in 2014, my parents bought me them, I have 0 idea where they are now, they are now lost....
The trading cards looked like pokemon cards.

Those are indeed have different rarity. Indicate by R,SR,SSR and UR.

there's more diversity if you buy packs with a different cover, or from a different boxed set, which would probably be of a different price and have cards such as scene cards or cards with a more variety of rarities (R, SR, SSR, HR, UR, LSR, SGR, SC...) (packs w/ the same cover would usually have a similar combination of cards, the card ratio algorithm is on the back of each pack)
i bought 3 big boxes of the vocaloid versions of kayou cards (they credit the artists are the art is prolly commissioned too)
