    Man the Broncos and Chiefs have so many of my draft crushes from the past several years, but I hate the teams lol. Meinerz, Surtain, Bonitto, Browning, Drew Sanders all on the Broncos and Trey Smith, Chenal, Bolton, Bryan Cook, and Mcduffie on the Chiefs.... Loved all of them but it just sucks that they play for a couple of my least favorite teams.

But the Broncos just always irked me... I think its because I was a Favre fan back in the day and never got over the Super Bowl haha

      Pressures are more consistent year to year, and how to judge a pass rusher in general for purposes of projection.
      Win rate is also important - some guys just are better with their pressures like Trey Hendrickson.

      @@jeffredfern3744I’m not saying pressures aren’t valuable they are but I think sacks and Qb Hits are slept on nowadays, in my opinion they are more impactful than pressures. I agree win rate is also very important

      @lukeboston5817 3 месяца назад +1

      Sacks are a bigger impact on a game, but pressures are better for evaluating how good a player is. There are outliers but a lot of pressures vs sacks can be chalked up to variance

    • @t4d0W
      @t4d0W 3 месяца назад

      @@agenta1263 Sacks are def important as they are drive killers against offenses on passing downs. But I feel the impact of that is less bigger on the player per se than the overall defense/coaching/system. Pressure/win rate on a rusher gives a better idea of how they do against defenses per reps. Even if that pressure doesn't necessarily end up being a sack. Because not all NFL QBs are as adept dealing with a big dude in their face when the pocket breaks down.

    Raiders...
    Offense - mostly accurate, but I think your view of the Jacobs and the OL comes from stats rather than watching every single down of Raiders football because, stat's aside, Bricillo's line seemed to gradually get slightly worse for the entire time he was there. For me, Andre James is not anywhere close to a top 10 Center - he (along with every other player on the interior) gets totally owned by any DT with strength and size - ask him to block a NT 1-on-1, and he'll be in the QBs lap in 1 second. The AFC West is not the division for a "below average" IOL - Chris Jones just feasts on the Raiders every single game.
    Unless we switch to a zone heavy run game, then James should not be brought back, especially at the projected salary. Van Roten was just about ok - an old, very borderline starter, and Parham didn't improve as hoped in year 2 - upgrading RT and the whole IOL should be a priority this offseason. Personally, I'd shift Parham to RG (where he has ALWAYS been better) or C, resign Eluemunor as the starting LG and swing tackle, and get a quality RT in FA or the draft. It was clear from the start that Jacobs and the OL weren't "in" on McDaniels - hey, draft and pick up a load of zone players and then force them to play mostly power - yeah, that makes sense - have millions of dollars! Once McD was let go, the OL was re-energized, and we started running more zone, but unfortunately, Jacobs was banged up so it was White that saw most of the benefit. I hope that Pierce sees Jacobs as important in the locker room, and he's willing to accept something around a 3yr $25-30m deal to come back.
    The Renfrow mystery... I don't get it either - when they put him on the field and threw him the ball then he still produced some great moments. I think the main issue is the contract - once they decided to move on from Carr, the Renfrow deal became indefensible, so they just froze him out, knowing they'd paid him too much, and also paid big bucks to replace him with Myers - a total mess from start to finish.
    Defense - the Koonce development isn't a shock to anyone who watched the games - he's flashed that ability for the whole time he's been here - the only thing that's changed is that he now has a HC that will put him on the damn field! We even had McD trying Tillery at DE - anything to avoid putting Koonce in the line up - it was simply appalling coaching. Other than that, I'd also add a shout out to old man John Jenkins - he had himself a great season, capped by that scoop and score, big man rumble against the Chargers!

    Hey Marcus, I have a topic idea you may be interested in. Maybe it’s just me, but it seems like there’s a fair amount of people that truly believe the NFL is rigged. Even if some don’t think it’s completely rigged, they think the chiefs get all the good calls. Maybe this its just a bunch of depressed AFC West fans and I should just ignore it😂. But their presence is fairly loud a plenty of post claiming of rigged games stats and calls. If anybody knows of some that have addressed this in good depth. Or maybe there is a small amount of validity to it!

JACOBS BIG problem was Jimmy G couldn't throw deeper than 10 yards and defenses were playing the run. Oline coach sucked until AP began sitting in during meetings.
