I like that Pink feels good enough in her skin and in her artistry not to shit on Christina. I know she felt heartbroken when Linda worked with Christina and gave her Beautiful, so it’s cool now that she is at peace with that! Christina deserved that song because although Pink thought of Christina as a beautiful girl with no depth, Linda knew she had shame and trauma in her life that she hid at that time. Christina is a gifted artist they both belong in this industry. Two great female singers ❤

There’s a meaning behind Christina’s beautiful intro when he speaks the line “don’t look at me”. That’s when Linda felt that song is meant for Xtina.

Beautiful was meant for Christina. Christina seemed guarded when she first came out from everything she went through as a child. When you hear the beginning of the song where Christina whispers “ don’t look at me “ was kept in the song because Christina was shy at people watching her in the studio. Christina has def come out of her shell !
I understand what Pink is saying, but frankly, Linda Perry needed to pay the bills. So, you can't fault her for making pop hits.
The problem is telling P!nk that she popped her bubble and she misses before she made her famous but then continuing to be pop.

Genie in A Bottle simply put Xtina on the map. It showed her as a woman and artist. And I truly think that song saved lives. There's a big difference in where both songs will go, and what impact they've had.
Genie in a Bottle is still Christina's biggest solo hit but I think Beautiful is the first song that comes to people's minds when you mention Christina. It's her signature song for sure
