Nick West Hi there is a short video on my Channel featuring me playing this one, sadly its no longer but there is a new build on its way, keep an eye out..
I know this video is 5 years old, but I'm speccing out a Warmoth Carved Top Tele Build, in the effort to make it a bit more like a Les Paul in form/function/feel. I paused your video at 2:04...I'm just wondering if you paid for the 720 Neck Pocket mod, and if you feel there's enough space between where the strings lay and the body. I have used both an old Gibson and an even older Epiphone LP as my main guitars live for 20 years now, and while I like strats and teles for studio use, the strings sit too low for my right hand for muting/resting on the strings to be reliable for me live, and for picking techniques I tend to favor. I'm just wondering if I should go with a TOM Hardtail bridge and an angled neck pocket to give things a bit more space for my right hand (I'm 6.3" and my hands are huge for my height, so this is why I'm being so specific).
I feel the same way as you regarding the shallow string height on strats with pickguards. I put a 1/8 of an inch shim between the neck and body of all my pickguard equipped strats and it works really well. You might have to buy taller saddle screws but that's not too much of a big deal. I do however prefer rear routed strats because you get that extra space without needing the shim because it has no pickguard. I'm also thinking of getting a carved top tele and putting a Tom Bridge on it with the angled neck pocket and putting a Warmoth conversion neck on it for a more comfortable Les Paul type sounding guitar so if you get one let me know how you make out. Thanks
Daniel Duncan-Klein Your guitar is very beautiful. I have a question for you. Did you actually call (or typed an email to) those guys at Warmoth and disccus your ideas and feedback, or was it thru the usual website building from the ground up your own guitar? I ask because I tried the usual channel, and it seems I can´t get a tele to have a tune o matic bridge. Thanks, and again, your guitar is actually something on the ball park Im looking for, even the color. Very nice guitar
Hi mate, thanks for watching... I ordered this configuration from their website at the time. I believe they have now changed that, try emailing them. They have also been very friendly when ever I've contacted them with a questions or a concerns.
Thanks for the response. I really appreciate it . I will contact them in the next few days. Do you plan on demoing the sound of your guitar in a video, soon?
Rebel Angel thanks for watching. Sadly the guitar was sold and I never recorded a audio clip of just this guitar, it was used on a few songs but mixed together with other guitars
'Wank wank wank' :-) Good for you man, I'm trying out all this stuff just to see/hear for myself what everyone is wanking about. What are your experiences?
Does this piano have a tone for listening
Beautiful
What the hell why would you not play it that's completely crazy to show us that and not play it man
Awesome guitar.
looks great, was wanting to hear it though, did you ever do a video with you playing it?
found it! was a bit confused at the signal loop though ruclips.net/video/Aiay8I5IPB8/видео.html
Is there a demo of it being played? it looks great but want to hear how it sounds :)

You could try the baritone conversion neck. Chug some real low, heavy riffage on it maybe.

Great looking guitar! I'm curious as to what fretboard radius you went with, being as though you have the recessed TOM?
I was hoping to hear the guitar
Darius Scheider pardon that, future reviews I will play more. Half shy/half talk to much
Nice I love the body, perfect IMO.
How much was that body?
So that's the woodmounted pickup option?
Yes.
I used the foam from the pickup packaging under each one to adjust height, works a treat
