I have been playing viola for some years now, and I have been looking for solo pieces but I don't know if I could play this :c, how could someone tell if they are able or not to play something before practicing it??

Hi, glad to know of your interest in the Vieuxtemps. I am not sure if you can know whether you can play something until you give it a try. Perhaps you could start with just the melody, and then put each section together with all of the notes quite under tempo, figuring out passages slowly for ideal fingerings and bowings.
