Jane's was The Doors of the late 80's. Nothing's Shocking. I picked that one up in late '88 when I was in car sales. Invited a couple of friends over for a few bong rips and some cold ones. I had an epiphany. The album blew our minds. It was trippy but my god, the band was tight. The musicianship was next level - all ace players and all in their early 20's like me. I quit the car biz and formed a band with the best players around. Up the Beach reminds me of great times in my first apartment and catching a cool buzz.
not the flashiest song they wrote. but man i went and saw them in vancouver at the end of the august this was definitely the best one of the night. overpowering live song
