Sheng had a fun chat with Sam Dickinson at development camp! (2:04:47)
Why does Dickinson think that he’s the best defenseman in the 2024 Draft?
How did he answer the famous animal question by the Montreal Canadiens in his Combine interview?
His childhood friendship with Beckett Sennecke and a good laugh at Sennecke’s shocked reaction to being the No. 3 pick by the Anaheim Ducks in the 2024 Draft.
Something fun about London Knights teammate Halttunen that nobody knows?
Celebrini’s nickname should be “Fleetwood Mac”, he chose ‘Dreams’ as his draft song.
Return of the Mack 🎵
Pohlkamp understood the assignment at the scrimmage: there is no defense, jump in as an extra forward.
Cagnoni’s mistake was trying to play defense at the scrimmage 😅
What about taking a flyer on Adam Boqvist and see if he can figure things out here.
need to take it easy on using the word "like"
Unrelated, but curious on your thoughts of how bad Vegas can be next year with all their losses.
Thoughts on Oliver Kylington? Hes LD can can play RD. Im a bit sour on how he (his agent?) handled things in Calgary, but for the right deal, he could be a great pick up.
🎉 he m kit
Smh wanted a longer episode
Celebrini signed today, so Sheng won't have to hear those stupid questions anymore
Nerduom doesn't stop at 12 am.
What do you guys plan to cover over the next two months? There has been so many interesting things going on from the season to free agency - but now it's all so quiet. What will the fans do with themselves for 2 months? LOL
First of all, expect shorter episodes. However, there's the World Junior Summer Showcase at the end of July, aside from that it can be more theoretical stuff. Projected rosters, bold predictions for the season, likely a subscriber mailbag at some point.
Why are you dropping these at 12am?
Works perfectly for those of us living in European countries. 👍
Why not? Not like it was live
Lower internet rates 😃
We traded Oki (Nikita Okhotiuk) who I really liked to Calgary, and he did the same thing to them… with these fringe NHLers you win some & lose some like the Ozzy trade! I’m most excited about Guschin and his chance at finally making it.. he can be a PP #1 guy with his shot, he better bag skate backwards in the D-zone… 😅 he’s my boom/bust candidate this year!! He’s ready, and if he doesn’t get hurt 😞 🏥 he’s laughing 😜
I know it’s common for #1 to play (and struggle somewhat in their 1st year in pro) why not an untraditional path… Celly plays 20-30 games then goes down and dominates the AHL for the Cuda to win a Calder Cup? Will Smith looks NHL ready to me, as does Musty (who can’t AHL I believe) he can truly be a winger on this team. Last year no, but after destroying the OHL… take advantage of his USA 🇺🇸 connection w/Smith and they can grow together as teammates.
Celebrini is too good for the AHL so playing down there can create bad habits that will hurt his development overall. Unless his 1st year is catastrophic, I don't see any scenario he will be in the AHL
Get rid of bords, no drive, no defense….. just terrible
Goody as next Captain of the team, after Couture? Guy is one of my fave all-time Sharks 🦈
I know we've been doing it for awhile, but it's traditional to have your captain playing in most games. In an ideal world our young guys will play well enough to surpass Goodrow and others and make the team.
Not a fan of “healthy competition” (on the same team) Smitty & Celly are different players. I thought even without winning the lottery & Big Mack prize, Smith could lead this team to the promised land with a Stanley Cup. Smith is competitive, driven and underestimated… let’s say we got Levshunov at #2 this year… Smith gets the spotlight. I don’t mind Celly taking the spotlight and attention away so Smith can do what he does.. rack up points 🏒 I don’t think it’s healthy anymore to compare and say which teammates better… sign them both to $10 mil deals for $80 mil in the 3rd year of their ELC like Slafkovsky/Canadiens… set the bar there and with a 100 mil+ cap you can build a winning team around them. I disagree that Celebrini is more ready than Smith too, it’s a year plus in age… Celebrini is lightweight,Smith is a middleweight and protects the puck. Sure Mack is a great defender, but he’s not better yet and I wouldn’t be shocked if he went back to NCAA like Owen Power did, or blows up the AHL with the Cuda.
