    • @No1Geordie
      @No1Geordie Год назад

      @@amann24 water resistant. Beta is waterproof but extremely thin. Basically no warmth at all so only useful when it's raining and you have other layers underneath. Depends what you want to sue it for really. Atom is a midlayer taht can be used all year round as the outer layer of it's not as cold. Beta is a shell designed to go onto of other layers to stop rain. Unless you're actually hiking in the wild you probably won't need a goretex shell but if you just want it for the look it's a decent choice. Although it is really noisy and crinkly to wear. Beta is more comfortable for everyday wear.

    Thanks 🙏🏽 for the great review. Which Arcteryx is best for wearing day to day ? Alpha or Therm ?

    • @stefanogrossi1964
      @stefanogrossi1964 Год назад +2

      Alpha is an extreme jacket, a lot warmer than therme but not waterproof. The outer shell is in gore windstopper, the outer shell of the therne is goretex.

      Therme is a lifestyle/urban parka. Much better for casual use. The Alpha parka is an expedition/mountaineering type jacket.
