In USA, this is called “Shingles”. Shingles is caused by the same virus that causes chickenpox, also known as the varicella zoster virus. After a person has chickenpox, the virus stays in their body and becomes inactive. Years later, the virus can reactivate, causing shingles (also known as herpes zoster.)
Scientists don’t know exactly what causes the virus to reactivate but there may be multiple factors. As a person ages, their immune system begins to weaken and is less likely to prevent the virus from reactivating. That’s why your risk of shingles increases with age. People with weakened immune systems are more likely to get shingles.
Shingles cannot be passed from person to person, but a person with shingles can spread the virus to another person who has not had chickenpox or been vaccinated to protect against it. That person could then develop chickenpox from the virus, but they would not develop shingles.
This happens to me in my early 50’s around my left thigh. Shooting pains comes from every direction. It looks like a pimple about to burst and when it’s bursted it’s very painful. It’s attacked my nerves around my thigh. After two weeks it that better but my scars didn’t go away about a year. But it happens differently to other people. Praying for your speedy recovery and think positive and it will go away. In the USA we now have shingles vaccines to prevent having it. I have to take it twice with in three months between. I hope this information helps you.

My mom experienced this too, the doctor said stress triggers this.. I also know someone who had the same experience and again her doctor said it’s because of stress. Because the immune system gets weaker. Let us try not to worry too much about things.. 🙂

Stress could definitely be a factor in her case my ex got it at 22 years old on his upper/middle back area though.
I now believe age really don’t matter because everyones body can work differently (He was extremely stressed about an exam for a new job and naturally easily can get depressed. He had chickenpox as a kid) I’m not sure if I had the chickenpox or not as kid but I’m sure I had the vaccine for it. I didn’t catch nothing from him as I helped him aid the area. His mom told him to just used this pink drying cream/lotion for it and told him not to scratch it.
The pandemic vaccine probably helped weakened her immune system a bit. I didn’t know we had the vaccine for the shingles now.
Also like to add that stress will easily lower your immune system so people relax and don’t overwhelm yourself✨

Cami thank you for being so brave and bringing this condition to many who probably didn't know that it can happen to anyone at any age.
I would like to say that I understand that with it being located on your face and head is probably traumatizing. I was 14 or so when I got something similar because my dentist's tools were not properly sterilized. It was a form of herpes and it covered my face, ears scalp. I was lucky that it did not form in my eyes. I had to do the same as you with antibiotics and allow the infected area to dry and flake off. I still have scars on my chin and jawline. Even though I thought life was over...it did heal and disappear.
Now I am 44 and I don't wear makeup because it irritates the scared skin. But I have learned that I am beautiful still. Beauty comes from the inside and affects everything.
I would like to tell you that you are beautiful as well. Trials like this show us the blessings that we have and the weaknesses that we have to improve. The biggest blessing that you have is your very supportive and empathetic husband. Good ones like him are a limited few. Your beautiful personality, I'm sure emboldens his love for you and that is how he is able to care and comfort you. At least that is how it has worked for me. Me and my husband were childhood friends and now have been married 22years. Hold on to your man, tight.

I took one look, thought, "that looks like shingles" (my mom looked exactly the same way, describing as you described the pain). Then I watched more of the video, you mentioned re-infection of chickenpox. Ahhh, yes, shingles then - same virus. Shingles can happen at any age (often comes out due to high stress or bad illness/low immunity); maybe there it is more common in people over 60. I am sorry you have been going through this, it's very painful. I hope by now you are feeling better! :)

    • @westzed23
      @westzed23 2 года назад +17

@@Lusifix669 the new infection isn't chickenpox. It is shingles where the chickenpox has hidden in the nerves, which now attacks the nerves and can follow that nerve along the body. You get a rash and blisters. Those blisters can give chickenpox to anyone who has not had chickenpox nor had the vaccine. It's usually on one side of the body. It can be severely painful. Mine started on my shoulder about the size of a handprint, the spread up my neck to my face. Also down my back. You could see the streaks along the nerves. The medicine helped clear it up, but it took time. Some people can get pain at the site years later, I did not. You have to be careful around young children who have not been vaccinated, and cover any open blisters in public. You can feel quite sick. See your doctor or emergency room, and tell them right away that you suspect shingles so they can isolate you.

I got shingles when I was pregnant. The dermatologist told me the virus stays dormant at the base of your spine (I thought that was weird, but ok), and he kept asking if I’d hurt my back recently because that could release the virus, and normally your body can keep it at bay because it knows what the virus is already and basically fights it down immediately. But since I was pregnant, my body was too focused of growing a baby to care about fighting the virus.
The only injury to my back was being pregnant. So baby caused the virus to be released and baby prevented my body from fighting the virus. What a punk, right? She’s lucky she’s such a cutie now.
I hope yours clears up very quickly. Mine itched at first and then hurt, and it was painful off and on for the remainder of my pregnancy. But after that, nothing. And it didn’t appear again with my second pregnancy.

Yes like herpes and autoimmune diseases like fibro, endo ect. And stressful events will cause what’s called flares/breakouts like in herpes and AI diseases. If you’ve ever heard of someone in the pain community who have an autoimmune disease. Talk about being in a flare this is what they are talking about. It’s where the everyday pain goes from a 8-10 to a omg will I die. Basically we always have the autoimmune disease and it’s painful everyday. But when we have a more stressful day or a stressful event come up or get very upset. It will activate the immune system response in overdrive causing what’s called a flare for autoimmune diseases or a breakout for herpes. And the same once shingles is activated in the system can also happen. It is said 80% of the population has herpes but it’s just dormant for most. And that most ppl had the hereditary markers for the autoimmune diseases. That one day out of nowhere a flare of severe pain all over came. And herpes supposedly can be activated by stress or an injury to the gentile. And from there on out the person needed care and pain management of said AI disease/disease. It’s awful I pray one day they come up with a cure for the immune system. 😔

Actually, shingles virus lives on nerve roots. It is herpes zoster. You have had chicken pox as a child &, even tho it goes away, the virus goes dormant. Stress or an illness “reactivates” the virus. It breaks out along the nerve root it is dormant on. It is common on the back along the nerve roots that run along the upper back & under the arm. You can see it along the facial nerve on the face. It is very very painful. Antiviral meds will usually clear it up quickly.

@@michelebradley7813 Yes. And I got MRSA in the hospital when I had a hip replacement in my incision!! After that, I've had 2 flares/reoccurences. One was so bade they had to lacne and pack the wound for it to heal from inside out. I had to miss a family reunion for it. If I had gone (ignored the lesion) the doctor said I would have gone into sepsis. I guess that's too much info. I now have to be vigilant over all rashes.

Something that most of these kids who have all been vaccinated won’t have to worry about in the future. They have the antibodies but no dormant virus.

Hells fire it so accurate! The pain, pressure, lesions, I said I didn't wish it on my enemies. It's no joke. I developed it after my mother passed away unexpectedly. The shock then dealing with her estate, taking care of things put a lot of stress on my system. Once I was back in town and could decompress some, it hit. I could feel bumps that hurt on my scalp. My husband couldn't see anything and thought it was just 'in my head'. Within a little time, the ones on my face appeared. My job place doctor diagnosed me. I was given antivirals and steroids. I shook so much it looked like I was going thru withdrawals. It wasn't until my PCP prescribed me gabapentin for the nerve pain for things to calm down some. One of the other Big saving graces was ACV or apple cider vinegar. It took the pain and burn away for a little while to where I could actually focus and think. I was diagnosed with PHN post herpetic neuralgia. I've yet to come off the medicine completely for fear I'll experience that pain again. It's been 7 years. That's how much I fear that pain. I am on a lower dose than what I started at though.
I wish you luck and best wishes on your healing journey.

I’m sure somewhere out there, you’re helping someone who had to go through this before ‘the usual age’ and making them feel less lonely.

I had shingles in my early 40’s, you can now take antiviral meds if you catch it early and everything will clear up in a week, must start within 48 hours! In case you get it again, see a doctor right away so you don’t suffer.
