My full statement: Any act of violence on civilians is abhorrent. I am sympathetic that the attack on Israel triggered trauma that has echoed through generations and that the Jewish people have suffered in a way that that’s unparalleled to most. That trauma is not justification to inflict horrific acts on others. Just like any conversation there is a voice that must be centered in this and it is that of the Palestinian people. They are experiencing a genocide and ethnic cleansing at the hands of the Israeli government. Calling it anything else and/or centering any other point right now is a disservice to the Palestinian people. Their nights are filled with orange skies and little sleep. They have no water, food, fuel, or medical access. They are transporting their living and dead via animal drawn carriage. Palestinians are still here and still fightings. All they have asked of us is to share their stories and keep talking. I urge you to honor their wishes and use your own voice too. I have said for years and continue to now, #freepalestine
